He smiled at her, eyes twinkling. "Yeah I'd say that alcohol helps. Especially the magical kind which is what this appears to be." He hadn't had much but it was definitely not the typical brand that you found at parties.
Her words about their upbringing made him sigh. "I know. I understand it especially after all I learned from Ben and Yoda. It was the only way to keep us safe, but I wonder if we would have ever met if things hadn't played out the way they did." He was sure that Yoda would say that it was their destiny to eventually meet and maybe it was but it was certainly a shock to find out that his life was not at all what he thought it was. "That's why I want to change the Jedi order if I ever get the chance. If our parents had been allowed to actually be married, if they hadn't had to hide, if the Order didn't forbid emotional connection, think how different our lives could have been." Luke paused for a minute and looked at the fire, letting his mind wander. "but I can't change the past, I can only live in the present and hope to change the future. First we have to get out of her unless my other self is already working on a plan."
