It felt nice, knowing that even though this wasn't the same Steve he'd grown up with, there was still kind of an understood connection there that existed between them. Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes; best friends since childhood, all that. He liked that. It made him feel good. And he hoped it made Steve feel good, too, especially since his Bucky wasn't here. "Every now and then he needs to get a bit of fresh air," he said, sarcastically.
He hadn't minded the arm around him. It wasn't unfamiliar, even if it was a different Steve. He and his own Steve had always been a little affectionate. "That's an interesting proposition, Rogers," he said. "But why not? I could stand to stretch my Charleston muscles a little. Unless you want to get crazy and jitterbug instead."
