Clint was quietly proud of Bucky for that -- for taking charge of his own life and leaving some of those bad feelings in the dust. He'd changed a lot in the last few months, really burst out of his centaur shell, if you will. Clint liked him no matter what, but a more confident and smiling Bucky was definitely an upgrade.
"Everyone's from New York," Clint said, as if it wasn't obvious. "Except for me. You don't wanna know what they call pizza in Iowa -- I'm sorry, did you just say tore up?" To Clint's credit, loudly playing music actually did make hearing very difficult -- hearing aids didn't allow for the layered nuance of sound like actual hearing did -- but in this instance he was mostly just doing that thing where he was humorously horrified by Bucky trying out modern lingo.
