Miles Morales/Captain America
"What if she says no?" Steve repeated. He shrugged. "Your feelings get hurt, but you'll know where you stand. Isn't that better than going back and forth and freaking out?" He smiled gently at his young compatriot. "There are worse things than a no, son," he added. But he knew how terrifying the prospect was. First hand, too. "Either way, yes or no, you still get to teach Captain America your best dance move and who else can say that?"
Steve's brow furrowed and he shook his head. "No," he said firmly. "Just ask her to dance. Don't put any strings or labels on it. Let her tell you whether or not it's just as friends." He smiled. "Maybe she'll surprise you." He added. "Worry less about whether or not she likes you," he said, "and instead -- just have fun with her while you can. If it's more than that, it'll be more than that." He gave Miles a bit of a nudge with his elbow. "Fortune favors the bold, pal. Go be bold."
