Gwen Stacy / Steve Rogers
Families were definitely complicated. Gwen had such a complicated relationship with her father back home that she just had to not think about it at all while she was here. And that didn't even encompass the relationship she had with Aunt May and Uncle Ben. Families were tricky but if the foundation of love was there it usually sorted itself out. Gwen looked at Tony like a father; there was absolutely no question about that. It wasn't even one of those unspoken things at this point. The family dynamic had been established. Adding Steve to the equation, well, it wasn't rough but it wasn't smooth either? It was definitely better now. It just took time.
Seeing the two of them interact helped. She could tell that Steve cared about Tony and really that was the most important thing to her. But she couldn't make it easy on him right away. That was just kinda the rules when it came to the step-dad thing.
Gwen took his arm and walked with him onto the dance floor. She was starting to feel a bit of a jolt from the energy drink so dancing was probably a good idea anyway. "Yeah? You cut a lot of rugs back in your day, Cap'n?" She teased, grinning a bit as she followed his lead. "Tell you what. Teach me one of your old fashioned steps and I'll show you how to twerk."
