Barbara | Crichton
She came from a complicated place, both with the surgeries but also Gotham too. It was normal for her but having to explain it a bit made it all that much more obvious how strange a place Gotham really was. She could only imagine how much more strange it would be to tell people what she did there, beyond just her regular work as an activist. Better to leave the Batgirl stuff out of it all she knew. It was her one protection in the world after all - and even in a place like this with so many people who were kind of like her she didn't feel like she could be open about it.
"Yeah I think Dallas is probably a better option than Gotham." She agreed, but she knew no city was safe from the sort of crime that plagued her world, whether she'd been visiting Dick when he'd traveled or going on her own vacation she seemed to find that kind of element everywhere. So maybe it was more of a her world kind of thing rather than just a city thing.
She might have been fishing just a little, but thankfully John didn't leave her feeling embarrassed over it and instead echoed her sentiment and then asked of she wanted to go. Barbara smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I'd like that." She agreed, reaching for his hand to pull him toward the area that seemed to be reserved for dancing. "You can show me what kind of dancing they did in space."
