"Maybe? Well, it's better than no." She shrugged, taking another sip of liquid courage.
Whatever music was playing, Carol knew she wasn't going to be able to move to it. There were several WAY better dancers on the floor, and she was already in the middle looking awkward. Maria had always made fun of her for this part. The weird swaying and bobbing her head, unless it was rock or she had a microphone in her hand.
Shit, now that she was standing here, she realized going back was probably a better option.
