Remus Lupin / OTA Gimme your multiples he's really nice okay
Parties. Remus had been to his fair share but it was usually at the behest of Sirius or James and not because he was some sort of party animal. It wasn't that Remus didn't enjoy a good party. He wasn't a stick in the mud no matter what some people might think. He just usually wasn't in the middle of the dance floor throwing his arms up and throwing caution to the wind. He much preferred to drink and observe from the background because he found the social interactions of others at gatherings to be quite entertaining at times.
But this was a party that had been born of one of Sirius' many whims and had actually come to fruition so Remus had to be an active part of it. He'd inherited the role of co-host and seeing as last month he'd been responsible for attacking at least half of the town, he thought it'd be in good for him to help put on a good night for everyone who wanted to come.
That meant lists. Lots of lists. Lists he obsessed over for a couple of days while the party came together. Lists that were written out, crossed out, rewritten and then put into their final form. Food lists, music lists, entertainment lists. This was a dance party but Remus thought it still would be appropriate to obtain a few decks of cards and a couple of other games. Sirius hadn't let him put out Scrabble but they'd found some other Muggle game that involved building a tower and then trying to take it apart piece by piece without it falling over and that was approved entertainment. The music list was the longest, because Sirius had gotten probably a billion records. They'd come up with a way to enchant them to replace each other on the record player so they wouldn't have to do it themselves.
"Bright orange crisps, yes," he said, looking over the food table. "Crunchy biscuits with the cream.." Yes, they were Oreos but he'd never had them before. "Popcorn variety.." They'd gotten salted, caramel, some kind of cheese flavored and kettle corn and they were all in cute little buckets that like the drinks were magically replenishing themselves. "Pizza.." Thank Merlin for Pancho's because the pizza was really the best part of the food. Other than the Oreos. He ran down the rest of his list while looking at the other food items and when he was satisfied, he moved on to the beverages to make sure those were in order, too.
