Barbara | Crichton
She laughed, "Well I'll be sure to remember that when your birthday comes around - that way we'll be able to get you the kind of cake you'd really prefer." She teased. She hadn't been great about making friends, the loss of Dick and Jason so early on had left her worried about getting too close to anyone. But she'd been trying lately and John felt like someone she could probably count as a friend.
Even if he was still a new one.
"Not really," Barbara shook her head, it was too much of a liability most of the time, to let herself get too caught up in something like that. She needed to be ready all the time, and she couldn't do that if she was drunk. "And I just kind of like dancing, so I don't really need much help to get out there."
She raised an eyebrow at him when he listed the bad things that could come from drinking, he wasn't wrong of course. "Sure," She agreed though when he offered the refill. "I don't think another is going to put me in danger of a marriage any time soon." Certainly not here.
