Peter certainly didn't expect Nyx to suddenly be happy to see him, or even happy to accept the Crowe's death or the circumstances of it which he seemed to find particularly terrible. Death was never an easy thing, Peter knew. He'd seen plenty of it in his life, and it didn't matter if someone was on the right or the wrong side, if they died in a fight or after a long illness, death was simply never something you wanted to have to deal with.
He allowed Nyx the time to consider what he'd asked, to weigh it and tell him whether or not he'd missed the mark. And he nodded when Nyx agreed finally that he was right, that didn't bring Peter any great joy though. It was all the more difficult to bear perhaps, knowing that Crowe had died doing what she thought was right, the same as Nyx would have done.
"She deserves the dignity of her choice." Peter said gently. "It might not have happened in a way that is easy for you to bear, but she died making choices that she thought were right from what you've told me. That's more than many people can claim." He sighed softly, because the burden of her death wouldn't be the sort of thing that Nyx could simply relieve himself of and move on, it was never as simple a that and as much as Peter would have liked to be able to help him with that, he didn't truly know Crowe or what had happened to her. "You have to keep on living though, I have a feeling that Crowe and anyone who knew you from back home would want you to keep going. Grieve yes, take time for that, but don't stay cooped up in here for too long."
