Peter let Claire take her time, to take stock of herself and the distance and well anything else really before she was holding her arms up toward him and Peter crouched down just enough to pick her up from the couch, careful not to jostle her and to be as gentle as he could be. Thankfully he had the whole super strength thing going for him, so he was able to lift her easily.
"Well hopefully getting you on a real bed will help ease up on that a little bit." He hated that she was still hurting, that between his own sickness and the injuries she had shown up with there had been little any of them could do in that regard.
They were going to have to figure out another sleeping situation soon, Peter didn't really want to move houses, not since he and Miles had gotten settled and he wanted to try and maintain just the hint of stability for the kid, it wasn't like there was a lot of that going around in a place like this. But the couch was no place for Claire. He'd think on it a bit though, maybe he was hoping for a solution that wasn't just moving her into her own place - which could have been the obvious answer. He liked having Claire around, liked her humor and those looks she gave him, the way they teased. It was nice.
"Here we go," He laid her down just as gently as he'd picked her up. "Do we need to get you more pillows or anything?" He wondered, because sure he'd be the world's greatest gopher if necessary, but he didn't have a ton of experience with treating illnesses.
