Yeah, Tony didn't really think a scuffle was about to break out --they were both smarter than that right now. More put together. Also, Tony had the upper hand. Because he had Bucky's hand. Haha. That was terrible.
The point was, they didn't need babysitting. They'd never get used to each other if there were other people standing around and making sure they were playing nice. And it would be good for the both of them to be able to handle each other properly. Tony'd tried apologizing once, but -- well. The timing had been off.
Now was maybe a better time. He'd worked things out appropriately with Steve, and he might not have done so if Bucky hadn't thrown it in his face that he needed to. So in some ways, he ought to be thanking the guy. Tony'd gotten something precious and good from their last near scuffle.
