She chuckled and shook her head. "Yeah, keep talking. If you're just okay where you come from, your world is much better off than my world," Carol chuckled with another shake of her head before her eyes went to the metal in her hands.
She closed her fist around it and finished what was in her glass, knowing she was going to feel this in the morning. "Thanks, though. For uh...hearing me out. And forgiving me when I totally forget about this conversation tomorrow."
That wasn't true. She wasn't going to forget it that easily, especially with such a potent reminder sitting on the bar in front of them.
