"I'm talking to you, John." She said it softly but with conviction because it was important to her that he knew that she didn't see just a villain when she looked at him, she saw something else entirely. "To the man who has been one of the most selfless people I've known since I've been here." Willing to give up his own life to save hers if that had been what it took - of course she worried what he'd think of something like that.
"I'm sorry, John. I shouldn't have kept it from you." Even if it hadn't been something she'd really meant to do - she wanted him to know that she knew better than that.
"Come home, John." She was almost close enough that she could touch him, but she didn't not yet. But she did reach out to him. "Please. This isn't you, I'm sorry - please, please don't let my stupid mistake make you do something like this." She wouldn't ever forgive herself for this, for pushing him into creating this kind of scene here in this place.
The people of this world didn't deserve this and it was all her fault. Because she'd let her own pride get in the way of the one good thing that she'd had going for her in this place.
