Who: Ben Kenobi and Starkiller.
What: Gift o-clock and Starkiller's is a doozy.
Where: Starkiller's abode.
When: Tuesday evening.
Rating: PG-13 for Sithy goodness.

This morning Starkiller had awoken as he normally had. Went about his normal morning routine. Wake up, fist bump Lucario, the pair would then meditate, and then it was breakfast time. Though when coming out to the main room, there was a giant banner draped on the wall. A symbol he had never seen before, and most of all he hadn't had the banner the previous night. It was his lightsaber all over again.

Staring at the banner, Starkiller would go about his normal activities. Never looking far from the tapestry. It had this strange draw to him. Like the Force was willing him to it.

By the evening though, the draw had the young man fiercely. He had to know more. Dismissing Lucario, Starkiller approached the great banner and placed his fingers on it. The rest him him like a freight train. The planet Kashyyyk, a little hut where he was being raised by his parents, his name... Galen Marek. Darth Vader. His master coming in. Cutting his parents down with ease. Learning his Force capabilities. Taking him. Harboring him to use him as the weapon he was now.

And just like that, Starkiller was back in his main room. No, not Starkiller- Galen. Staring at the banner, the draw was too much. He knew he shouldn't have been greedy, but the tapestry demanded to be touched again, and he caved easily. Placing both hands on it, Galen took in the vision. Corellia and the Corellian Treaty. Bringing all sorts of politicians to the planet. Organa. He knew the man. Memories rushing in to his head with a gasp. Leia. She was transmitting through PROXY. He knew her, and more. Then the Imperials. The attack was swift and direct. Stormtroopers gathering the senators. Darth Vader then betraying Starkil- NO! Galen. Betraying Galen a second time. Informing him that he was always just a tool to the Emperor. Not a weapon and wouldbe Sith apprentice. Just a pawn for the Sidious. Just as the vision was throwing Galen over the cliff, he snapped to falling to his knees.

Staring at the banner, Galen felt the tears running down his face. He was betrayed a second time. He did as he was told. Taught. Instructed. He was a damn good apprentice. Galen was the best! Galen felt the rage building up in him. He wasn't just some disgusting shell to be used at leisure. He was Starkiller! Sith! No? He was Galen Marek, son of Jedi. His mind fumbled with the choices at hand, but only built his rage up further. With a scream, he let out the Force welled up in him, blowing out a number of windows. "I am not a tool. I am a weapon. I am Sith." Galen- no, Starkiller stated to himself. "Peace is a lie." Galen breathed heavily as he reached out with the Force. "There is only passion." He pushed out with the Force hearing some wood snap and other creak under the pressure from the Force. "Through passion, I gain strength." Starkiller. He was Starkiller. Reaching further with the Force he felt and pulled in more hearing the house groan under the pressure.

Then someone was bursting through the door. Not even thinking, he willed his lightsaber right to his hand from the other room, igniting the red blade facing the intruder. Kenobi. "I will not be used any more. Not by you. NOT BY ANYONE. I WILL NEVER BE USED OR BETRAYED AGAIN!"

Ben had awoken that day to a gift. And a curse. The gifts were more than he could have ever imagined- hoped for. But it felt like a trap, especially when he saw what lie with the various texts that had appeared in his home. What he saw when he touched it....he knew. He knew everything.

He'd spent much of the day simply dealing with those thoughts. Those realizations. But later that day, something powerful surged through the Force. So strong that he was almost convinced even the non-Force sensitive around him could feel it. And he hurried to Starkiller's home, ready for almost anything.

Only to find the boy igniting his blade to fight. And Ben ignited his own lightsaber without thinking twice, but made no move to come towards the young man. "Galen. Stop." He used his real name. He saw it in the boy's vision. His eyes narrowed and he spoke calmly.

"Yes. I know."

Galen. The name rang out in his head. His already throbbing head. No. That wasn't who he was. He was Sith. He was trained in the way. "No no no no." Starkiller shook his head spinning the blade in his hand. "NO!"

Lunging forward Galen swung out with his weapon with his blind rage. "You're here to end me like he tried before!" Starkiller screamed. Combat was second nature for Starkiller at this point pushing forward with the attacks just as he was trained by his master. The one that constantly betrayed him. Just as fast as the attacks came at Kenobi, Galen backed off shaking his head. Reaching out with his free hand gripping part of the house using the Force with ease to throw the wooden debris at the other Jedi.

"YOU KNOW NOTHING!"

Obi-Wan blocked the attacks calmly, keeping himself focussed Breathe. It wasn't as easy as he made it look much of the time. He was emotional by nature, and this calm exterior was not at all his given demeanor. But when Galen began using the Force to throw things, he growled and held up a hand to create his own shield.

"Enough!" The words were bellowed, with a power coming from his body as he said so. He was far from the strongest or most powerful Jedi to ever have lived, but he also knew when to start to show his true strength. He'd gone toe to toe with many a powerful Sith, including Vader, and he'd won.

"I know that you were tricked. I know that you are full of rage. I also know that misdirected rage is dangerous for you and the rest of this place. You can explode here, kill everybody and everything, and you will STILL feel angry. You wll just become angrier and lonelier and he will have won. If that is what you want, by all means, keep fighting me."

Well the way Kenobi held himself was impressive, though that was supposed to be the Jedi way, right? All of Galen's emotions were running wild through his body. All this new information he had uncovered, the young man didn't know what he could do with it. It just was overbearing.

One thing that Starkiller never did was, underestimate an enemy that he was facing. Through tellings, and PROXY training he knew exactly how dangerous this Jedi was. You didn't need to be the strongest or most skilled to be able to land a luck shot with a weapon.

The rage was much easier for Starkiller to absorb. It made sense in comparison to being devastated. Sad? Destroyed? Everything that was supposed to be his world was ripped away from Vader, and everything he was told to be true was all a lie fabricated so he could be used. "Who cares?!" Starkiller spouted off about everyone dying in this place, but even he flinched a little of that with a name or two crossing his mind. Flexing his fingers on the hilt of his weapon, his eyes traced over the battle field and the man before the words just erupted from his mouth.

Broken and defeated. "Why.." Galen managed. "Why does everyone just want to use me..?" Tears started streaming down his face. "Why?! Tell me why?!"

"You care!" He shouted back, glaring at Galen and yet still keeping his composure. "You care, or else you would not be so angry. You care because you want vengeance for the wrong that was done to you. But if you destroy everything today, he wins. If you destroy yourself, Vader wins." Ben knew that the other man could reach out and feel that he was being honest.

"If you want to fight him- if you truly want to defeat him, you must overcome your rage and train yourself to overcome everything he's taught you. You must destroy him by undoing what he has created within you."

Ben sighed, slowly lowering his weapon just a little. "Vader wants vengeance. He wants to the universe to bow to his whims. He uses people to do that. He used you. I am trying to offer you a chance to escape that."

Did he care? Did he truly care ultimately? The people he had met her so far? Leia crossed his mind. There was so much more he wanted to learn of her. Or even Barbara, she selflessly brought him soup when he was ill. Hell, Kenobi was standing here in front of him trying to talk him down. The weapon in Starkiller's hand shifted from the aggressive hold.

"I don't know anything else." Galen admitted. He knew nothing else, and his mind was being pulled in different directions. His immense hatred pulling strong.

Galen's eyes looked to Kenobi's weapon as it lowered, and that was when he lost all of his own strength. The lightsaber in his hand disengaged and fell from his hand clambering to the ground at his feet. "I don't want to be someone's tool..." Galen said weakly. "I..." The agony in his mind just kept circling. "He-" Shaking his head some. "Is there even a place for me in this world?"

Once more, Kenobi breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the weapon disengage, doing the same with his own and cautiously stepping forward. "Yes" A simple answer, and he took a risk, putting a hand on the boy's upper arm.

"There is a place for you here. I want to help you. Perhaps you can let me train you...." He was offering to do what he had been hesitant to before. Because he saw it there. The potential for good. And Galen, now that he knew his true name, seemed willing.

"Let me help you..."

Feeling the light grasp from the Jedi Starkiller looked to the older male. A hesitant nod. Some training from the Jedi might be good, right? Or would it just compound his current issues? These were things that Galen needed to consider before he actually fully agreeing.

Galen's head dipped again, in defeat, before looking over to the banner that caused all these issues in him.

"Can a man truly change his path?" Galen asked genuinely. All this time he had been pushing down the path in front of him, and he was so ingrained in the darkness.

"Yes. With time and effort. It's not easy, but it can be done," Ben truly believed that. Just as he still believed Anakin could be saved, deep down. Squeezing Ben's arm, he offered a faint smile.

"Meet me tomorrow at dawn and we will begin your training. Today you should rest and recover, meditate on what you've learned." He looked around, wondering whether or not Galen would want him to stay and help clean up.

"If you like, you can also come over to my place. I make a pretty decent porg stew."

Right from the pan and into the fire with his training. Suppose it's only natural. Galen looked around his now very destroyed home and then back to Lucario who happened to be staring out at him from the bedroom with a concerned look. With a sigh, Galen waved his hand and the pokemon came over. With a casual pet on top of the pokemon's head, he invited his sparring companion and himself.

"Yes." Galen nodded. "Stew sounds nice." Then there was just a moment of a small smile on his lips. "Though I thought you didn't have it in you to kill the porgs?"

Ben offered a genuinely warm smile as Galen asked about the porgs and shrugged. "I don't. It started out as a stew I made for the porgs and it just seemed easier to make enough for all of us." There was a hint of mischief in the older man's eyes and he even winked before lowering his hand again.

"I'll see you tonight Bring the little guy if you want." And with that, Ben left Starkiller to his work. And Ben left with a strange but renewed sense of hope.
