She nodded as he struggled to try and make sense of how he might be able to feel better about things. She knew it was a difficult line to walk, with the knowledge of what you had done and the truth that you were trying to be better than that at the same time. It was nearly enough to cause her to want to give up the pretense all together - to be the thing she was created for. But she knew that even when things were complicated and difficult, it was better than the life she had before.
"All we can do is be better." She told him, punishing themselves for the past would not change it, or make it as though it hadn't happened. "A better plan for how we'll deal with something like that in the future would be a far better use of your time than berating yourself for something that was easily put right." A realist in all things, Nebula would have said she preferred that if someone had to be bitten that it was her, the one person who would not be changed by such a thing - and the one way to keep the bite from being an issue at all would be to have a plan to stop them in the future.
She shook her head, "I am glad that I could help you even a little, to see that this is not the worst thing that could happen." She paused though when he offered to do something for her, there wasn't really anything she truly needed, she had her sister, she was in fine working order. "You will let me help, if you need it again in the future." She decided finally. "That is all I would like."
