Nebula had thought it wouldn't be possible to relate to someone so much who was not from her world. She had a difficult enough time with those from her own universe and her own time. But here she was in this strange place with a man from a world very different from her own finding that they had much in common despite appearances. And if she could make this easier for him - well she thought that might be a worthy use of this conversation.
She hated hearing his own story too, that revenge had been the thing to drive what had been done to him - though she knew plenty of revenge, it had driven her for many years as she sought revenge against Thanos for what had been done to her. But her ire had been aimed at the one she wanted the revenge upon, not anyone else. "No we didn't have a choice," She agreed, she didn't even truly remember the family she'd had before Thanos had killed them and taken her for his own, and Remus had been pulled out of the life that he'd been destined for by a man who felt like he knew better. "But we have the choice now. Especially here, it is more difficult in the places we come from, but here - there is not as much of our pasts here."
She knew of course that it was not an easy thing to do, she still struggled with it and she'd had years to change. "What would make you feel better?" She asked him, curious if there was something she could do.
