Who: Shuri & Danny Rand
Where: The Town Green
What: Meeting for the first time
When: Early Morning
Rating: Low
Status: Incomplete

Shuri was slightly annoyed at this entire situation. She had finally got back to her brother but was whisked away again, though this time by an unknown force. Sure it was cool that the Multiverse was real but her brother was not here and he needed her and there was no way to return. Also there was no internet. She was grumpy about that but she supposed she could deal. They'd make it eventually. Right? She needed to talk to Tony about that and the lab but she wanted to explore first. She had gone out with White Wolf and been shown around the town which was probably more of a tiny village than anything. She was intrigued by the Doors and was interested in going through them to see what she could find. That was probably going to happen today or tomorrow, her curiosity burning inside her.

For now, she found that she couldn't sleep. It wasn't her bed, there was too many things on her mind, the list was endless as to why. So in the early hours of the morning she found herself back out in the Village, wondering around to see if she met anyone or found anything else that could entertain her. As she approached the village green, she spied someone up and about. While she didn't know them, she decided to approach them nonetheless. As she got closer she realised they were doing yoga so instead of speaking, she sat silently not that far from them, watching.

Copying the action she cringed slightly as she felt the tightness in her shoulders. It wasn't the first time she'd been aware of just how tight her muscles were. She was familiar with it from spending hours bent over a project, trying to perfect it as much as possible. She'd learned how to stretch well as a result but this was something completely different.

Okay, the balancing was harder than it looked. She supposed she would have to practice that as she had barely lifted her knee towards her chest when she was losing her balance.

"I do which is good. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone," she replied before taking a deep breathe to focus on raising the knee again, hoping to at least balance for a minute or so.

Danny watched, a small smile tugging at his lips as she began to balance. It wasn't easy, and that was part of the fun of it. Each little victory was something to be celebrated, and the body did celebrate it. It felt good. To feel loose after, free for a moment of the stresses placed upon the human form - wasn't that something worth working towards?

"Are you drinking enough water?" He asked curiously. "Sometimes it's harder to go through the motions if you haven't been. It can tighten everything a bit too much."

He yawned, and extended his leg once more. He crouched down, a lunge turning to the Warrior pose. He could feel his hips opening, the pleasurable burn along the meat of his thigh.

"I'm sure everyone will be happy to meet you, you're an open-minded woman." He grinned. "You're keeping up with me, even."

Shuri managed to balance for half a moment before she had to put her foot back on the ground. Only to try again and again. She wanted to succeed but she wasn't getting anywhere. She knew that it was normal and it would take a lot more practice to get to where she wanted to be.

"I don't know. Probably not enough," she admitted as she left her foot on the ground while she answered. She wasn't going to try and talk and balance at the same time that would just be a disaster. "I guess I should try and drink more water."

She was glad to finish the balancing but grimaced at the new one. She snorted. "I'm not sure that this is keeping up," she laughed. "Maybe in the future you'll be able to say that but not really at this moment."

Danny relaxed his posture, and looked at Shuri with a downright devilish grin. He was amused, actually happy with the way she was talking to him. It felt good to be needled now and then. The snorting laugh was simply a fine bonus that made him laugh in return. He took a seat in front of her, sat lotus style and relaxed. He looked up as he waited for her to join. He wouldn't push her much harder.

It hurt, to be reminded of mornings with Dani when Luke and Jess were busy. It hurt to remember how eagerly Dani had mimicked each pose, catching her when she began to wobble and fall, carrying her on his shoulders. He wondered if she was all right. He hoped so. He wondered if she'd like to hear of this new adventure, or if it would be something they'd never speak of.

He pushed the thoughts aside.

"You're trying," he said simply. "That sort of effort is exactly how you do keep up. Mastery is simply the art of practice." He offered her a small smile. "I'm sure there's plenty you're wonderful at that I wouldn't know a thing about, yeah?"

Shuri sighed in relief as she got the opportunity to sit down and in a position she was familiar with though not often practiced. She found that Danny spoke true though, it was just a matter of practice and practice enough then she would be able to become as capable as Danny was. She knew there was plenty of things she didn't succeed at though she didn't like it, it was a thing she had come to terms with.

She nodded as he spoke. "That is true, I'm quite skilled in some areas and there are plenty of areas where I'm not as skilled. My brother and I are fine examples of this," she mused. "I guess I'll have to keep bugging you until I do improve though," she added with a grin.

"You're welcome to keep bugging me," Danny replied with a smile. "I do this twice a day, just about every day." He gestured to the trees around them. "I like it out here. If it's raining or anything indoors is all right, but to be out with the sun rising... It's an exhilarating feeling. I usually do this in Central Park."

He looked back to Shuri, genuinely curious.

"I haven't seen you in Manhattan, though. Don't tell me you're like Felicia and hanging around the shadows just to see me with my shirt off. You'll embarrass me, and you're better than that."

"Thanks," she said with a grin. "I probably won't join you that often but I will try and join you when I can," she told him with a shrug. That was a lot and while practice is good there was other things that she wanted to do. Maybe in time she would up it but she wanted to start slow.

"No," Shuri said with a shake of her head. "I come from Wakanda," I'm not sure if you've heard of it?" she asked curiously.

"In Africa, right?" Danny asked. He didn't stress whether or not she would join him, was simply happy that she took an interest. It was as good a way to meet someone as any, he supposed. He raised his eyebrows.

"If you come from there you're a long way from home. I mean, we all are, but." He gestured vaguely. He had no idea what he did mean. "What's it like there?"

"Yes," she said with a nod. She pondered that. It was odd thinking about the fact that they didn't have to pretend to be so poor. That the world knew just how advanced they were and they were able to help others. She had dreamed of it but hadn't thought it was going to actually be possible. Her brother was amazing at times.

"Advanced, a lot more advanced than many people realise. Until recently people thought we were one of the poorest countries on Earth but we were in fact hiding our technology behind a barrier. Recent events made it so we're working with the rest of the world," she added. "It's amazing. I love the people and I love it there."

"What's the coolest tech you've got?" Danny asked brightly. This was a conversation he knew, knew in his heart, he was unlikely to be able to keep up with. Still, it fascinated him and his curiosity was difficult to shake once engaged. "Are you working on anything big and secret?"

It didn't matter now, didn't matter here what was going on in the real world. It was nice to imagine it, though, and speculate on things. "My company worked on some magnetic trains a while ago. Bullet train type things, you know? Faster, more energy efficient. Less pollution." He raised his shoulders in a shrug. "Bringing that sort of technology to the places in the world that could truly benefit from them is a big drive behind what I do. 'Course, working with you guys in Wakanda would be a huge boost for all of that. Together, sky's the limit, you know?"

"Exactly and those sort of trains would be awesome," Shuri said with a grin not mentioning they had something similar back home that run on Vibranium. Didn't need to squash his hopes and it was possible he was from a different world where her country didn't exist or didn't even have that capability so... No point in saying anything.

"My favourite would have to be my kimoyo beads. Both my normal and remote access ones. The first bead provides a lifetime's worth of medical knowledge and is given to each individual at birth. Additional beads are added to serve various purposes, such as communication or vehicle control. With the remote ones I can control vehicles and the like on the other side of the world. I can scan someone's body and 3D project it or parts of it if I need to heal it. They can help stablise people. The uses for them are endless," she couldn't help but brag slightly.

"Kimoyo beads." Danny said slowly. The information was a lot. Quite a lot. He couldn't imagine a lifetime's worth of knowledge there from the beginning, the information he had spent so much of his life gaining remotely - downloaded? - into a newborn's mind. He raised his eyebrows, and exhaled a slow sigh.

"Aren't you - worried that the knowledge might be abused?" He asked hesitantly. "That sort of information - so much of it, that ability... you're like a god, aren't you? Endless possibilities." He smiled ever so slightly. "You guys really are far ahead of everyone, aren't you? I don't even think Tony Stark has something like that. At least not available to everyone."

"Maybe but it saves a lot of time. Have you ever been in an emergency and needed access to someone's medical history? It's there, without having to trawl through databases, ring doctors and the like. You can immediately access it. Some people don't have access to the ability to read it, that is limited and will remain so. Most people just have the communication bead and the one that read your vitals etc and stores it so we know if something does go wrong with you and you're unconscious," she explained. While she trusted her brother and some others, she didn't know and trust everyone and therefore she limited their access.

"We are," she nodded. "I'm sure Stark would be able to do a lot of what we did if he had access to the same sort of material and existing technology though," she admitted. The lack of resources was what was limiting to him at least in her mind.
