What? Tony did grabby hands. He might have been in charge here, and quite possibly one of the smartest minds in the whole place (odds were out on that one, the Doctors both were brilliant, but a little too ADHD to use what knowledge they had properly without getting distracted, he'd noticed), but he could still be a bit childish sometimes.
"They call it Starklandia. Well. My friend did. Jan. She named it after me as a joke and it sort of stuck. Everyone hates it, but at this point -- well." He kept it a little bit as a reminder and out of spite. Tony didn't need to be liked in order to do a good job. "If you've heard the pocket dimension things -- yeah. There's that. That's the running theory, and the only one that makes sense. Time and space don't work like this in places that were meant to exist in the first place."
He pushed his chair back a little, picking up the coffee and taking a long drink. "Trapped is a - objective word. We're trapped here yeah, but there are doorways to other places. Scavenging is easy between a town of nearly fifty." And if John thought this set up was good, Tony's real one back home would blow his goddamned mind. "You came in this last week, right? Everyone's been sick?" He set his coffee back down, eyes going back to his screens. "I'm trying to prevent it happening again. It's not that exciting. It's basically comparing -- code. So. What's your story?"
