Kitty was fairly self reliant in her normal life, even living at the Institute she didn't tend to allow others to help her much. But this was something else, and when John suggested he make her breakfast she couldn't help but smile at the idea. "Mmm a bath sounds really nice." Especially considering she'd spent the last week and a half feeling like death warmed over, the chance to actually clean herself well, and soak off the last remaining bits of that illness sounded like exactly what she needed.
"Mmm, that sounds really nice." She agreed sitting up and brushing her hair back from her face as she watched him get dressed.
They'd have things to do - to get their lives back together after the way the sickness had kind of derailed everything for a little bit there. But for now they could have a morning together. It was nice and Kitty wanted to enjoy it.
They could do the rest that afternoon maybe, after she thanked him for looking after her. "I know it was." She agreed, she knew the Brotherhood had always just been a little bit more militant about trying to get the idea out there in to the world that mutants should be accepted. It was a matter of the way they did it, through fear or the way that Xavier had taught her, by being a visible example of the kind of people they could be. "I don't think it's something we need to worry about here." And for now that was enough. Back home was another story, but while they were here? It seemed for now at least that no one seemed to have any of the kind of antimutant sentiments that were so prevalent where she came from.
