"Well you know me," She said laughing - "It's what we good guys do." She liked that he felt like he could tease about it now - that was most telling that he was feeling better than anything else might have been. His powers were under control, and he was feeling enough like his old self that he could laugh and smile and make jokes.
They were both going to be just fine.
"You're so right." She agreed, leaning over to press a teasing kiss to his mouth, laughing as he chuckled. "The cutest, and very charming, and of course I love knowing I don't have to try cooking anymore." It was all in all a very nice way to start the day.
She smiled again as he agreed that she was who she was with her powers, lifting her hand to his cheek she kissed him lightly. "That's what I keep trying to tell people. I am a mutant, my powers are a part of me, just like yours are a part of you. They aren't something to be ashamed of or hide." And they didn't make them good or bad because of them, they simply were a part of what made them who they were.
