WHO: Guardians
WHAT: Post-Wolf fight
WHERE: Center of town
WHEN: Full moon

A werewolf was not something Nebula had ever encountered in her travels throughout the universe, she had seen many things, been many places, but a Terran that shape shifted and took on the form of a wolf in the night was new to her. And though she was still a little achey and should perhaps have continued her hydration regiment with her sister, she had been among those in the center of town during the full moon, just to be certain that the wolf would not do undo harm.

Things had not gone - well.

Her aches when it was all finished had more to do with the torn metal and wiring in her shoulder than any sickness, adrenaline had fueled her to jump into the fray and it had cost her. But she was not irreparably damaged. And in the end the wolf had been contained, it was some kind of victory, but not one that left her feeling eager to celebrate. Both because of the damage she had sustained but also she knew that the wolf was one of their own too.

It was not a victory to be celebrated. Her damaged arm hung useless at her side as she made her way to her sister after things had settled down, "Gamora," She worried for her sister, wanting to make sure that above all her sister was safe. "Quill," She might not care for Quill in the same way that she did for her sister, but she did not want him to come to harm either.

"I do not know what a cyber-wolf is, but - unlikely." She said after a moment considering the possibility of such a thing. She allowed Gamora to examine her arm when they reached one another. "I will have Tony assist me with repairs tomorrow." He had other things to worry about that night, between the wolf and his other friends.

It would not be the first time that Nebula was left with a broken limb. And the pain was not so great that she could not function. "I will need it to be immobilized until then." Something that should be easy enough with a sling or a belt to keep the broken and torn parts from causing more damage in the mean time.

Her main concern was for Quill and Gamora, Quill of course seemed fine - a habit he seemed to have. Gamora though - well she'd seen worse too. All in all they had all come through it not too badly damaged as a whole. "We will need to see to these." She lifted a hand to one of the scratches Gamora had gotten in her attempt to move the wolf from her.

"Will this happen again?" She wondered, of the full moon and the wolf.

Quill frowned thoughtfully at Gamora when she said her head hurt — leaning over a little in order to see if there was any visible damage. But nothing looked too bad. She might bruise later, but luckily, even sick, Gamora was tougher than most people.

“I’m fine,” he said, too, although he wasn’t overly sure if anyone had asked — the adrenaline of it all was still taking a second to properly wear off. Whatever. It was all good. “You need my belt?” He asked Nebula, fingers already unbuckling the leather. He had thigh holsters so it wasn’t like his blasters were going to get lost any time soon. Though he kind of figured he’d used them enough for one day. Quill liked a good fight. He did. But this didn’t have the same feeling as blazing through something or someone that deserved it.

“I dunno,” he said, glancing up at the sky and the full moon there. “I guess technically it happens every month. They just deal with it some other way. Behind the doors. I think we have a doctor here. Either of you need to see her?” Well, Nebula didn’t, probably. She said she’d see Stark later.

Gamora was probably the toughest woman in the universe, but regardless she'd have an egg on her head. The adrenaline was still flowing and Gamora couldn't feel the scratches yet, the bruise to her head simply a distant throb. But later she'd have to feel it all. As was the aftermath of any fight, the pain that followed simply taught you lessons for the future, new ways to succeed. Nebula touched the skin beside the deepest scratch on her neck and Gamora flashed her a quick smile.

No one had asked Quill if he was fine, but she was glad that he was regardless. He announced it and Gamora nodded and leaned against him just a press of her body weight against his side, but for her that was plenty affectionate. He was quick to offer her sister his belt and she liked that, liked that he cared about Nebula as well.

"It could keep happening, if the doors don't open again," she said with a shrug. Gamora felt like she was going a bit crazy being stuck there, in such a small place but there was nowhere to go, no ship to take them. "We can clean these without a doctor," Gamora said of her injuries.

Nebula was relieved that they all seemed to have made it through the night fairly intact - her own injuries not withstanding. Quill included of course even if she hadn't asked she would have been upset if something had happened to him during the not quite battle.

"Yes, the belt would help." She agreed when he made the offer to help her keep her arm immobile. She wasn't worried about the damage much - she had been torn apart much more thoroughly in the past and had survived that, Thanos had made sure of that. This was small comparatively. "Can you-" She only had the one hand available to her at the moment and she could lift her own arm to put it into the sling getting the belt on and in place would need another hand.

"This is not the way this should have been done." She said shaking her head as she allowed Quill to help her. None of the night had gone the way it should have. Perhaps that was partially on those of them that were sick and insisted on helping - but there had to be a better way - there were no guarantees in a place like this.

She glanced at Gamora's cuts again and nodded, "We should tend to those now. You will help?" She asked Quill - as much as she knew that Gamora could likely do it herself Nebula would have done it for her, but as it was she could only be of so much use - but Quill had fared better than they had and would be the better option.

Right, yeah. Quill only nodded, moved in close enough to strap the belt around her shoulder accordingly and then loop it all together at the top in order to make it stay. Say this about their rag-tag group; they were really damned great at keeping themselves in one piece.

"No," he agreed, looking over his shoulder, his attention on everyone else around. "It isn't. Wasn't." Although Peter couldn't help but feel like it'd had a Guardians without a plan feel to it. The kind of nonsense Drax might have achieved with Mantis. Well, with significantly less stabbing, anyway.

But it was over now and there was only going forward, not dwelling on. And Peter didn't just think that because everyone was gonna be on his ass for pulling his blaster, either. Mostly.

"Yeah. Yeah, of course. There's a little med center over there, or else I think I've got a little in the way of supplies at my place." From the last time they'd needed it. Right before Gamora had jumped his bones. Good times.

Watching Quill help her sister made her feel something new and totally foreign, like an overwhelming wave of fondness. He took care of her, he wanted to touch her, loved her he said. But people said a lot of things, what they did was what mattered and Quill wasn't helping Nebula to impress Gamora or because he wanted something.

He was just helping her.

"Terrans," Gamora said with a sigh. "Should not be in charge of anything," she decided. "Does it hurt, Nebula?"

They'd raided the medical center the other day and she knew there'd be plenty left to deal with her own injuries. "Let's just go back to the houses, we can clean it up there."

Quill was proving to be helpful - she new he could be, she had seen it in him before. Despite his moments of utter ridiculousness - no doubt due to his being part Terran - but he was quick and competent as he helped her to keep her arm immobilized.

This was what Gamora had offered her once, she thought - when she had suggested she stay with them, rather than leave on her quest to end Thanos. Perhaps things would have gone differently for them if she had, if she had never let herself be captured she could never have been used to force Gamora into revealing the location of the Soul Stone.

It was no use trying to see some other way it could have happened though, what was done could not be changed.

"No, they should not." She agreed with a sigh, and shook her head. "No." It hurt, but not enough to mention or complain about to either Gamora or Quill. And it would be fixed soon enough, it was a temporary thing.

She nodded at Gamora's suggestion of their place, they would have what they needed to clean her up and Nebula would be able to assess the damage done to her shoulder a little more - though she knew she would require skilled help to truly fix it. "This way." They didn't need to wait around for someone to tell them things were finished here, it was clear enough.
