"Well that's true," Peter agreed easily - because somethings were simply facts that could not be argued with. And that women were amazing was one of those things he had learned early on and never forgotten. And he certainly wasn't about to start now. This place made things complicated in ways that you wouldn't expect, especially considering how simple life should be here.
But when some sort of magic seemed to be the sort of governing force in their lives things were always more complicated than you'd like. Peter really did hate magic.
But that was a thought far from his mind as Claire laughed, her head tipping back and the sound of it warm and amused. "I knew it, they don't call Spider-Man a lady's man for nothing." He laughed, the idea of it so far from the truth it was difficult for him to even say with a straight face. But you know he was always happy to make a joke, most especially of himself.
He sobered just a little when she thanked him for bringing her home. "Thank you for staying." Because even if she had brought her home with him, she deserved more than what he'd been able to give her so far. And having her there, even if she hadn't been helping to make sure he didn't run himself into the ground - she was a welcome addition.
