"Do they really?" He asked, partially teasing but a small part of him actually curious. It was the sort of thing he could have imagined MJ saying, maybe that was part of what drew him to Claire, she was a lot like MJ. But different, a little faster to call him a creep for one thing. But there were other things too. He missed MJ of course, he would have liked to get back to her, but Peter was a realist too, and he was here in this place - and for now it looked like that wasn't going to change any time soon. He didn't have to stop living just because he was here.
It was all complicated really, being here, the life he'd left behind and the plans he'd had for when he got back. And now here he was forming all kinds of bonds that would be devastating to lose when they did get back home again. It was hard to know what the right move was - but he didn't want to try and cut himself off from these sorts of things.
So there he was.
"That's how these things right? You find a girl on the street and bring her home, then you have her sleep on the couch for a few weeks before you get her her own room." He chuckled softly, they'd done all of this strangely, and maybe she'd still want her own house or something, but well - she was talking about walking around naked and Peter had to take a drink of his water. "I think we can manage that." He said after he finished. Whether it was giving her his room, or figuring out how to get some kind of addition to the house - it'd be fine. The could make it happen.
