Natasha had been skulking around the middle of town for maybe a good thirty minutes before the offer was made, she'd been talking to Carol about potentially helping out the next day with some wall work and the like, so getting acquainted with the new surroundings was just a thing that was going to have to happen anyway. With that in mind, she'd wandered through the dark areas, the snug spots between houses that didn't seem to be lit up, around corners, she desperately wanted to go roof hopping, but it felt like the absolute worst time to do so.
So there she was, weaving in and around the middle of town, trying to find her barrings and figure out where she was going to, potentially, take up residence while she barely hummed around the words of a song she sort of remembered. Her foot thumped with the down beat as she skipped and all but found herself on the ends of her toes while the rest of the town seemed to be sleeping when she saw.
Well, she wasn't really sure what she saw.
The fantastic was almost always a part of the world that she knew, she'd seen friends arrive in grand fashions, twinkling lights and swirls of mystical substances, appearing out of thin air or through a mirror. Magic, and whatever variations on science there were didn't tend to take her aback. However, the force at which he was seemed to be flung into the center of town, and the poise to not fall on top of himself? That was impressive. Natasha squared her shoulders while she was still hiding out in the shadow across the road before sauntering out from behind it. Her duffel bag draped over her left shoulder and her suit jacket tucked into it's straps, she'd raised her hand to give a wave before she'd made bigger strides to make her way over properly.
She would have sworn that the air was still weirdly sparking after she'd made her way over, "I was not expecting that," her voice rumbled with a low laugh and a small smile before she'd extended her hand to shake Nyx's, "you really are that good, huh?"
