It had been a rough morning for them both, and she could only imagine just how much worse it was for John thinking it was the Legacy virus returned. But it couldn't be, Kitty didn't believe it - couldn't let herself believe it, the possibility of that being true was too devastating to even consider. Not after all it had cost them the last time. Especially since John hadn't even survived it in the first place.
But it wasn't the Legacy virus and she was going to hold herself together, both figuratively and literally long enough to reassure John of that fact until they could prove that it was true. "Just breathe." She said gently as he held on to her, she could feel how worried he was as he held on to her.
Kitty leaned into that hug, let herself be wrapped up in the warmth of his arms because while it might not be Legacy, she still felt like shit. and she was only too happy to have him near once more. "It's going to be okay." Because she needed it to be, almost as much as he seemed to.
Knowing how he felt about Tony, it said a lot about just how concerned John was that he'd not only gone to him but given him some of his blood in the hopes that it would help them find an answer to all of this. "We're all going to be fixed." She told him, letting herself lean into the brush of his fingers. "It's just a temporary thing, whatever this is. We're going to be okay."
