Peter | Kate :: Coffee
Peter grinned cheersing his mug with hers - it was easier to feel happy about the world when you had a little caffeine in you.
"I don't know about the time-traveling, but I have crossed a universe or two." He agreed nodding, it wasn't the sort of thing he wanted to do again though, or at least not often, not if he couldn't be sure he was going home. It would be one thing if he could be sure of it, that if he left his dimension he'd go right where he wanted to when he finished, but with this that didn't seem to be assured and Peter was not about that life. "I'm more of a loner kind of hero. Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." Sure he teamed up with the Avengers from time to time, or other heroes who were passing through, but usually he worked on his own, he preferred it that way most of the time. Or at least he thought he had.
She wasn't wrong, it could have been something like that he supposed, Villains always thought they understood how the things they wanted to do would work but rarely stopped to consider that they might be wrong. "So what he does his thing and instead of taking away half the people from one reality he takes people from every reality?" He asked, trying to make that work in his head. The multiverse was a delicate thing sure, he couldn't write off the possibility, but well - this seemed a bit much. And if that was true they were in store for a lot more people than this tiny little town could handle at some point or another.
He lifted his shoulders up toward his ears, "I don't know about flying, it feels a lot like falling - but you know, with style." He admitted, he loved the way it felt, to feel yourself tumbling toward the pavement only to be caught at the last second and to go swinging off to start it all over again, okay yeah he definitely missed it. That feeling of thwip and release was like none other. He peered into his mug seeing the bottom start to show through what remained of his cup. This was going to be very sad when it was finished.
"The door? No, no I haven't gone yet." He told her shaking his head. "I'm kind of.... you know you get dragged through one portal to a world you didn't know and then you fall into another and end up here and it kind of makes you a little wary of trying another." He explained, it was silly probably, the others were going in and coming back without much difficulty or so it seemed, he ought to be able to as well. But Peter just couldn't help the sort of feeling of the hairs on the back of his neck rising at the thought of going through their just yet.
