Kate hadn't taken her analogy that far, but she liked it. She gave him a satisfied smile, holding her coffee cup out for another cheer. She liked this guy.
"Whoa, so you're like, time-traveling, universe-crossing Spider-man?" She couldn't help but laugh. "It sounds like you could join our crew if you didn't already have one!" Wasn't Spider-man apart of the Avengers? Or he was one that comes and goes? She couldn't remember; bottom line, he would fit in so well with her group of friends. If only all multidimensional variations of people could be this cool.
And he seemed to make a lot of sense. Kate just nodded sagely behind her coffee cup, her eyes squinted a little as he listened to his reasoning for why it wasn't Thanos. Legit. But everyone else seemed so certain of it. "What if he wasn't aware that this would be the possibility of his actions?" Despite his ability to seem all-powerful, that usually got in the way of their achievements because their egos became too big. Maybe he only believed he would wipe out half the population; maybe he just moved them somewhere else. They certainly didn't have half the earth's population in this town, but new people seemed to be coming more and more.
"Yeah, I think it would be pretty cool! Being able to swing like that...is it kinda like flying?" Not that he would really be able to speak to that, unless he had been able to fly. Was that a thing? Maybe. She sighed, looking down at her cup and back at the pantry. "I really want another cup, but if I do that, that means I gotta go back through even sooner to try and find some more coffee beans and..." She made a face. "Have you been through?"
