"Lime green!" Peter was at equal turns appalled and delighted by the idea of it, yeah he was definitely going to have to get to work on things like that when he got back, maybe as a part of his big come back, it could be great. There was a lot to think about when he got back, lots of people he'd have to try and look up - sure they wouldn't be these people but maybe there could be something there,
Peter cocked an eyebrow at her when she explained how they'd gotten their espresso machine, "So you guys just busted into a cafe and said give me the machine or else?" He asked, not that he was complaining, mind you. Peter might not have been the caffeine addict some people were but he appreciated the stuff a great deal. So rather than press the theft angle he just watched while Kate worked with the machine, trusting that she knew what she was doing - she wouldn't be able to open a coffee shop without knowing that, right?
"I mean-" The idea that this wasn't temporary hadn't actually entered his mind, of course they were getting home, Peter was not meant to live out the rest of his life in a place like this. "Yeah, yeah, of course we're getting home, this is just - you know, a blip. Temporary until we figure out who we've gotta fight or whatever to break the spell and get home." There was always an answer, in his experience, why should this be any different. "I've got things at home, people." Well person, after Aunt May there was only really MJ, and really she was kind of - no, no she was there, he could get back to her, they could make this work, he could be better for her.
Thankfully Kate, far more focused on coffee than Peter's existential crisis was ready to divert his attention once more. "Man, just the smell is great, You don't realize how much you miss things like that until you don't have them anymore." Sure there were way too many coffee shops for one city in New York, but the smell of them was something Peter didn't realize he'd been missing.
