What Tony think everyone tended to forget here was that he also was not one of those fancy doctor types. There was a difference between having some PhDs and being a doctor of health. Oh sure, he could try and he was going to (of course he was) but he wasn't sure if it would be enough.
Damn Strange for blipping off the radar exactly when he was most needed. If he ever came back, Tony was going to think twice about palling around with him.
"Okay," he repeated, a bit pleased when John sat down, because the guy did look dead on his feet, and that wasn't any kind of fun. He tapped at the nanotech containment on his chest and a pair of sunglasses formed from what probably looked like thin air into his hand and he put them on smoothly. "Let's do some research --Friday. Do a scan for me --vitals and the like. Cross reference with Rogers, Parker and Stacy and tell me what we've got."
He half watched the information scrolling on the lenses even as he looked over at John. "The thing is -- and this isn't doubt or naysaying, just fact gathering -- the thing is, a lot of people are down with something, and the symptoms aren't all the same. Some people have lost their powers completely, others just feel sick. Was that that a commonality in your world?"
