Gwen | Jan :: Door Exploration!
It was the first time that Jan actually wanted to be back at the village so she could bother either Tony for use of their workshop so she could look more into Gwen's web shooters. She'd have to figure out what different components went into it and then hope to find a door that lead her to the resources she'd need. But then again, with old!Tony's alien tech, maybe she'd be able to develop something even better for Gwen. The sky's the limit! Her excitement grew and she couldn't help but hold her hand up for a high five, glancing into storefronts as they made their way down the street.
"Omigod Gwen, that's a GREAT idea!" She looked at her partner and grinned. "Now we totally need to add shopping carts to the list!" Jan was beginning to accept the shift in her moral compass the longer she stayed in the village. Right now, it was really about the good of Starklandia and all of its current inhabitants; they needed a lot to be able to resume some kind of normalcy and Jan was committed to help out when and where she could. Maybe shopping carts weren't a necessity, but without any working Internet or social media, what else did they have to do to kill time?
Her next set of questions made her pause, thinking on them. Was this some kind of alternate reality? Or was it one of those worlds that was masking itself as Earth but wasn't really Earth? Kinda like Starklandia...
"I dunno," she said with a shrug. "I've heard some people went through the door and wound up in some CRAZY situations. Like...maybe not Earth crazy situations?" She couldn't remember the actual world, but she remembered hearing something about Lord of the Rings and a zombie apocalypse. Maybe...possibly. "If we're in a duplicate Earth, I wonder if we could find ourselves!" She looked at Gwen, perhaps a bit of a crazed look in her eye as she thought about what her alternate self might be like. She had seen a lot of other world friends show up at the Academy but had never met another version of herself. It seemed silly to be jealous that there were those that had other versions of themselves, but Jan wanted to know what else she could have been like.
And then she remembered that Gwen knew a version of her. Right. She'd grill her for more information later. But for now, they had more serious things to look for.
"PERFECT!" Jan stopped outside a large red building that had a large bullseye on it. She was already starting to feel better because she had found a brand! The last time she had ventured in with Sirius, there had only been non-branded stores so that had been a bit weird. Not to mention the creepy people. Maybe this meant they were in a normal world!
"Shopping carts, food, clothes, EVERYTHING WE'VE EVER NEEDED!" Except a fridge, but she would figure that out as soon as they started their shopping experience. "Shall we?" She gave her a mocking bow, causing the automated doors to slide open.
