John/Kitty
She laughed when he told her about his own holiday back home, minus the guns. "Now how can you possibly celebrate anything without a gun?" She teased. Kitty had very little use for guns herself, they were usually far more trouble than they were worth. Especially in the hands of humans - but you know she could joke about it. Because what were their options otherwise? Pretending like they didn't live in some hellscape that prized guns over the lives of the people who lived there?
"Guess that's about what we have today too I guess, a regular old Australia Day celebration." She tutted as if she were disappointed about it all. But really as long as they got their pie and fireworks Kitty was pretty confident today would go down as one of the best she'd had here since she arrived.
It was a welcome change from the sort of routine she'd started operating within since her arrival. Though it was all changed a little bit since the arrival of Lockheed as well, he was back home sleeping with Kasai, no doubt getting to know her more now that it was just the two of them there for a change.
"That sounds like a really nice night." Sure they'd share some of it with the rest of the community, but she thought being able to just enjoy it as the two of them was something she'd like as well. "How about we lower the murder chances down to zero? You know, on account of the holiday."
