Tony didn't know if he was just less rough around the edges with people than he used to be or if he just liked Peter Parker in any version, but he couldn't help but feel fond and a little protective of the guy -- even if he wasn't exactly his Peter's age. Not that that was like -- a deal breaker. Everyone needed a friend, or some guidance sometimes, right? Maybe? "This is contributing, isn't it? No one else came over and said Hey Tony, let's build something useful and it's probably stupid, but I might not have thought of it on my own. So. You did a thing. Good for you."
It might not have been a hug, but Tony wasn't really all that good at those. But verbal confirmation was a thing, and he liked to think he was pretty good at it when he put his mind to it.
"We can do it," he said, completely sure. Better tools would be great, sure, but Tony was pretty well known for managing a whole lot of impressive things with a lot less resources. Something something in a cave with a box of scraps. Yeah. That was how he rolled. "Hope you're ready to learn a new thing or five," he said with a grin even as he gestured in the direction of all the scraps he'd been hoarding since he got here.
