It was unfair really that Steve was just so... Steve. It wasn't that they were identical of course, they were different in a lot of ways, but he was just so familiar a lot of the times and Tony feared that what this Steve saw so easily was just as apparent to his own. And if that was true then what did his Steve actually think of him? After he'd been so surprised to hear that the older Steve and Tony were together, Tony couldn't even begin to guess what Steve's reaction would be to learning that Tony would have been only too happy for them to try something as well.
"Maybe," He agreed though when Steve suggested that maybe he'd get the chance to show his Steve what he learned here today, "Maybe I can get him to show me a few things too." If he was very lucky. It was a nice thought.
He followed Steve to the ring, letting him lead him through a couple different things. It was easier then to focus, when they had an actual task to deal with, the blocking and deflecting, moving around. Tony might get distracted when he was just talking but he could focus when he needed to. Sure this wasn't some life or death thing, but he liked learning new things.
"What so like I should flip you over or something? Like they do in the movies?" He asked when Steve suggested that he should be able to use Steve's force against him, he got the idea of it, momentum and all of that was simple enough to wrap his head around, it was all of it made physical with him as a part of the equation that slowed him up just a bit more.
