"Sometimes not all at the same time," Steve said but he nodded. "But I was there for a long while and Tony showed me lots of movies, tv shows and food," he explained. "And I showed him how to fight." It had been the best time of Steve's life, that time that they had spent together. After that well things had got messy and Steve knew the reason it had hurt Tony so much was because of how close they'd become in that time. They'd been best friends, more than friends really because both of their feelings had been more than friendly.
Tony's little pet seemed full of enthusiasm and Steve reached for a few strips of cloth before he took Tony's hand. Gloves wouldn't be necessary but Steve didn't want a poorly aimed punch to break one of Tony's knuckles. He carefully wound the fabric around his fist, tucking the end in.
"How does that feel?" Steve asked once he was done. "Try to keep your blows somewhere muscular, okay? Bones on bones hurt," he explained.
