"Sleep is, as ever - an elusive thing." Klaus said with a sigh, "Remember how easy it used to be?" Klaus said, because of course Ben would remember, he'd been there with him through it all. Watching Klaus chasing high after high, to find just a little bit of peace, a little bit of uninterrupted sleep, some new pleasure to wipe out the the horrors of his waking life. But then it had been just a matter of tossing back a couple pills and he could sleep easily.
Here it was more complicated, and late at night there was a quiet that left nothing for Klaus to fill his mind with but everything that he was missing, whether it was the rest of their siblings, the drugs that he'd relied on for so long, Dave, so many things.
So here he was butting right into Ben's space that was too much his own some nights. "What about you?" He asked then, because well he didn't want to focus on himself, it's what he'd been doing before he found his way here after all.
