It was sort of weird having their own space after so long without. Ben remembered, of course, that he'd had his own room back when they were kids, but that felt like something that had happened so long ago it might as well have been in another lifetime. Well. It sort of had been.
He didn't mind the quiet sometimes, admittedly. It was sort of nice just to have it for once because he hadn't for so long. But small doses of that was enough, unless he had his nose stuck in a book.
