It was nice that he thought of it that way, that when all was said and done, it was still their person, still the one they knew. It was more or less the same philosophy Natasha had been operating with, but at was nice to hear that it made sense to someone else, too. If the experiences were different, in the places it mattered, that was still the same. Or at least that was what it felt like to her.
But she was sorry that he was missing out on connecting more with his daughter, especially when he'd only just gotten her back. It had been terrifying enough for her in the aftermath of the snap; she couldn't imagine how it must have felt to wake up to the world five years into it, to see his daughter older than he'd ever known her and to know that he hadn't been there for her growing up, in the way he would have wanted to be. "Well, I'm glad to see you here, though I'm sorry you're missing out on being with her," she said. "You and Nebula both came from....further than I made it. It's good to hear everyone's doing okay."
