Oh, sure, once their initial urges to punch the other guy in the face impulses went away, Tony and Steve had actually become pretty fast friends. Steve had been easy to talk to about whatever came to mind, and Tony had realized pretty early on that the guy was a practically perfect excuse to rewatch all the old episodes of sci-fi that he hadn't made time for in years. That it was all new to Steve was just ... shiny and interesting for Tony.
Sometimes he'd found he preferred watching Steve more than he did Kirk.
"I don't think anyone will mind," Tony said, because turning a handle was much better than ...whatever people were doing before that. "I still hate laundry and if I could pay someone to avoid it, I would." He didn't actually have money, currently, even if he technically had his wallet on him. And even if he did, it didn't matter here.
"There's a big difference between pouring hot water over ground coffee and a pizza, Steve," Tony said, although he was very excited by the prospect of coffee. He missed it. He dreamed of it. If he hadn't been aware of how hard it was to breathe when air was nearly gone, he'd probably have chosen it over air.
Tony paused though, at Steve's admission. "Yeah, well. I'm pretty impossible to kill," he decided on, because christ if it didn't feel true some days, no matter how many missions he went on thinking it'd be the very last one.
