Of course he had. Steve wasn't surprised that Tony had known where they were and the corners of his mouth curled as he hung his head a little. It felt good to hear it, to know Tony had cared and that he still did. That something of their previous bond was still there.
"You were easier to keep tabs on," Steve said. Of course he'd read every article that mentioned Stark, kept himself as informed as possible and that phone in his pocket. Just in case.
"There's a part of me that likes doing laundry by hand, chopping wood, carrying things, cleaning things, going to sleep beside the fire," Steve explained. "All stuff I grew up with. I'm not against the washing machine or that you're surely about to replace me with a robot wood chopper, but-" he faded off with a little shrug.
