Peter was seated at table in one of the parks within the ... village? He was going to stick to calling it a village. It seemed appropriate. It looked a bit like the kind of place that would break out into song in a Disney cartoon about Stockholm Syndrome. Still, it was nice, and the gentle breeze today was really nice which is why Peter had chosen to take his little project outside and into the evening air. It was relaxing, the lack of sounds of the New York City traffic was something he was getting used to, and it was kind of nice. Plus, the lack of threats everyday sure made getting sleep rather simpler. It did mean life was a bit more boring and so he had to fill it with stuff. This was stuff.

Sitting at the table in black t-shirt, and a pair of jeans, Peter was leaning over his phone and his webware watch, with a few wires attaching them, and a screwdriver in one hand as he tweaked some settings. He looked towards his phone, making a few adjustments on screen, then back to the watch and another twist. There was music coming from the phone, well what seemed like music. It had some weird sounds, a few indistinguishable lyrics from a language that was definitely not of any Earth he knew. Another twist, and then a couple more stations popped up, each one a bit stranger than the last; a few that sounded vaguely like it would match up with something he recognized from his Earth.

He had his tongue sticking out, thinking that maybe he was figuring it out, and then another twist and suddenly 'Hold On' by Wilson Phillips start blaring out of the phone and he nearly threw the screwdriver, "Are you serious?! How many possible versions of Wilson Phillips are there in the multiverse?!"

He shook his head and made another twist before a spark blew from the wires and he had to pry them off, tossing the screwdriver off to the side along the table, popping the wires free and blowing off any other attempting sparks, then sighed and slouched in his seat, then shrugged and pulled up his bottle of water, popping it open to take a long drink, "Sorry little Webware guy, I might need something a bit stronger than even you for this..."

Since arriving in this strange place (Starklandia? Really?) Peter had been faced with the idea that there were multiple versions of himself from different dimensions. He'd virtually met some of them, and met in person some others. It was absolutely bizarre, but it was pretty much the sci-fi nerd's bread and butter. Besides, he'd died and returned in space and transported before the battle with Thanos... this was a little less weird, tbh.

Coming across another version of himself in the village square, performing some kind of tech surgery on a wristwatch and a screwdriver, though? It was a little intense. He broke into a grin at the sight of the other him, looking so very much like him that he had to laugh. Laugh or freak out, right?

"I'm sure Tony can help you find something stronger."

Peter should have known someone was coming up. Spidey Sense man. But then again, it wasn't anything dangerous, obviously, or a threat, so maybe it made sense that he was jerked out of surprise when he heard the voice approaching behind him. Jumping a bit, he turned in his seat and looked towards ... well himself.

He knew there were other Peter Parkers obviously. He'd seen himself in clones before, he'd seen other versions of himself numerous times, but this was uncanny in resemblance. The other version, the one he was currently staring at, was probably a bit younger, that much was somewhat clear, but otherwise it was definitely trippy.

Shaking his head, Peter eventually managed to step away from the table and looked at his contraption, then back to his doppleganger, back again, and then back once more, "I uh... you must be Peter Parker. One of the others ones--I'm well I'm also Peter Parker. We'll need to work on naming conventions..."

He trailed off before making his way towards his counter part, reaching up to lightly poke the other in the chin, "Huh..."

Finally he stepped away and gestured towards the table, "Yea, uh, sorry just a bit weird to see... anyway. Hi. Yea, I'm sure Tony could help but I'd rather... not. Not right now. Plus I'm sure I've got it handled."

Sometimes that's the way the sense worked, wasn't it? Peter only got it when he was in imminent danger of something. Well, mostly got it. Because sometimes it happened when it wasn't like, immediate danger. Sometimes it just happened.

"Yeah. Well. We're two of the Peters. I hear there are a lot of us here." Which was weird. The whole thing was weird.

He nodded, slipping his hands in his pockets. "No, it's really weird. Really. Uh. Okay. No problem. I just thought I'd... y'know. Mention it?" This was very awkward for the slightly younger Peter Parker. He wasn't sure what to say next, so he just stood there.

Peter stared at... the other Peter. Watching him a moment, he realized maybe this one wasn't used to some of the weirdness associated with wearing the spandex. Peter had been through so many different iterations, dimensions, what have you, he was getting more and more used to it everyday it would seem. But he also realized not everyone was. Miles was still getting used to it back in Peter's world.

He gestured towards the bench, "You wanna grab a seat? I'm trying to get my webware to connect to my phone and maybe find someway to connect to other dimensions. Give us a tiny bit of control. But so far I've only managed to pick up stray music and it's been pretty much 'Hold On' by Wilson Philips, and 'Chumbawamba'." The older Parker shrugged.

Parker then raised a brow, "So uh, your first time dimension hopping?"

Peter wasn't really sure what to say to his other self. This was one of those weird things that made him all tongue-tied. He wished he was better at this kind of thing. That's what it took to be a superhero, right?
Tony would have known what to say. And Thor. And that Starlord guy. And Doctor Strange. He was a damn good superhero. He could quip with the best of them--and did, often, when he had his mask on. But when it came to things like this? How was anyone supposed to know what to say?

"Yeah. It is." Peter cleared his throat and moved to sit down next to the other Peter. "...I'm not sure Hold On and Chumbawumba is an improvement."

"It's definitely not an improvement, that's for sure," Peter offered with a sigh, looking down at the equipment before him, "But I guess it shows that it can be done, now we just need to figure out how and how to overcome the whole dimension hopping business. It's hard enough to pick up radio in the mountains, imagine across whole dimensional rifts."

Parker shrugged, looked towards his younger counterpart and turned up a brow, "I'm assuming if Tony took a liking to you, and you're a me, you're probably pretty apt with tech. Mind helping me take a look? Fresh eyes always help."

When the other Parker mentioned it was his first time, Peter thought a moment then pushed his watch over towards him, "I've been doing this for almost 15 years y'know. You seem like maybe you just started out? Seem young at least, don't want to assume. Obviously there's no guarantee you'll ever go through everything that I have. But I can tell you the multiverse is pretty infinite and there's a Spider-Man or version of on nearly every one. Just be lucky you didn't get the one who's literally just a swarm of spiders in a costume."

"I can take a look... no guarantees I'll be able to help, though." Peter was fairly good with electronics, though he was much better with the hardware side than the software side. That was more Ned's territory. They made a really good team, actually.

He turned his attention to the device the other Peter was fiddling with, and tried not to look as shocked as he felt when he heard 15 years. Wow. That meant that this Peter Parker started Spider-Man-ing when he was two years old. Ish. Give or take 5 years as dust.

He cleared his throat. "Yeah. I mean. That sounds terrible. Or, uh. Scary?"

"If you can provide even a tiny hint, you're helping. That's all science is most of the time; or, well, discovery in science. Just tiny little hints that give us a nudge," Peter grinned and watched as the other Peter went to work at checking it all out.

Then he shrugged, "Yea, he's a bit creepy. But also pretty tragic. He was... well us. Peter Parker. He was working on an experiment with a horde of spiders, a giant colony, and then fell into it. They were irradiated..." Peter trailed a moment, "Which they always seem to be. Anyway. They 'devoured' him, but absorbed his conscious and became a hive mind. So all of the spiders together were ... us..."

Yea, that was pretty creepy and weird. That was probably the weirdest. One of them at least, "Met him when he and a bunch of Spider-Men and I were fighting these inter-dimensional vampires that fed on spider-people... so it was a weird day."

Peter fiddled with the technology, trying whatever he could to try and help the other him on his quest for better music. He pointed out a couple of things that might help, though he felt a little tiny bit out of his league with this. Maybe his tips would give Peter inspiration?

"Right. Irradiated. The whole radioactive spider thing." Peter Nodded. "That's crazy. Hive mind." He let his own mind try to wrap around the idea. "I want to hear all your stories. I mean, you must have a billion of them."

Peter nodded, sitting against the table as his brother from another dimensional mother offered him up some ideas, nodding his head as he stared at the device. It was giving him ideas at least.

Shrugging, "He, they? I don't know. He was a good guy for the most part. Had some... quirks to get through, but yea. And yea I've got a story or two--I'm sure you do as well. Right? Can't be all about me."

He remembered being Spider-Man at that age, it was tough to say the least. It required quite a bit of focus and a ton of trial and error that were substantial at times--people's lives were at stake. He'd learned, but it never seemed to get easier, just a bit more numb to the responsibility he supposed.

"I think quirks might come with the territory when one is actually a giant bag of spiders." Peter shrugged one shoulder, grinning through the corner of his mouth. "Yeah, I think we can trade stories sometime." He handed the device back over to the other him and nodded.

"I should probably get back. I'm living with Mr. Stark--he's got a room for me in his, uh... his place." He felt like such a child saying it that way, but it as true. "Uh... In case you want to get ahold of me. For any reason."
