Gwen looked around, upside down, which didn't really alter her perspective all that much. It was just looking at things a different way, even though nothing changed. She listened as he explained in further depth what Herbology actually was, and it did sound kind of interesting. Despite what people might assume about her, Gwen was actually an intellectual even if music and art were more important to her.
If nothing else, his explanation made her even more curious about the world he came from. Gwen had seen a lot, in terms of what people could be capable of in her world and across a couple of other worlds, but she'd never seen anyone actually do magic. She'd never known a world where magic was just something people did. Before she could ask about that, he asked her a question that had her pause in her dangling.
Gwen swung herself up so that she was sitting on one of the rungs, with her arms draped over the one above it as she looked down at him. "Well, I'm definitely more graceful," she said. "But I suppose that's one way of putting it. That is, we ended up like this," she used one hand to gesture to herself, "by being bitten by radioactive spiders. But in my world, Peter wasn't Spider-Man."
