Carol was actually excited for once to go through the doors. This wasn't a mission (well, not a real one). The last few times had been one of two things: boring or extremely eventful. And not in a good way. As much as she loved action and danger, nearly getting killed had been enough for her to want to steer clear of it for a while (Unless, of course, she needed to step in to save someone. That was a given.).

She'd shrugged on her jacket, her side now only aching a little and the bruises on her face now fully healed, and headed downstairs to practically drag Peter out, though not without staring at his new pet for a minute curiously. She'd ask questions about it later, of course. Right now, she had her mind set on one thing. People might be disappointed to find Pancho's closed for now, but they could deal with it.

Once through the doors, though, Carol decided it was worth it. A beautiful bright beach with blue water and...things. Everywhere. Cute little animals with large eyes and who made unusual sounds. It wasn't like she hadn't seen things like this before, but not so...varied. Or colorful.

Carol slowly grinned and nodded. "Okay....I see why people are excited about this. But where's the bar?"

"So what you're saying is that a stray animal followed you home?" Carol was almost more amused by that than the creatures themselves. "Isn't that something our parents warned us about? Could have sworn it was up there with sitting too close to the TV makes you blind and you'll die if you have sex before marriage."

Honestly, as much as Carol was joking about wanting one, she sort of was on the fence. Goose was already a handful, and she didn't really want to go out of her way for it. Besides, she didn't want to force a creature into a ball against its will. Just thinking about the idea was, actually, weird enough.

She laughed when he said this was their thing. He was right. Definitely their thing. Watching as a couple went by towards a pool, Carol sighed and kept looking. "So...bar, maybe a little creature- probably bar before little creature." She grinned and stepped into the hotel, suddenly surprised at the onslaught of colors. And creatures. Everywhere. Many of them working to carry bags, water plants, just a variety of things.

"This is normal here, I guess?" There was a screen that also seemed to have some kind of statistics just above a bar across the way. Carol headed straight towards it (moth to a flame, so to speak), but her eyes were on the names that she couldn't quite read. Or she thought she couldn't. "What's a Rayquaza? That's not Spanish, right?"

"He's not a stray," Peter protested, laughing as Carol teased about the sort of things someone should have learned while growing up. "Well I didn't have a normal childhood, so I guess I missed a couple of those lessons." Pretty much all of them to be honest, but he wasn't about to say that.

It wasn't a bad thing really, if this was all Peter ever did when he went through the doors he'd be totally happy with that, the doors were always a bit strange. But going through and heading to a bar? Well that was just a night out wasn't it? And he and Carol did this part well enough, so it worked if it was their things. "Sounds good to me."

The forest with Clint had been fun in a fairy tale kind of way, they'd wandered through nature marveling at how bright and inviting it all was and then to make it even more magical there had been the little creatures. It was quite frankly pretty damn amazing. And now here in town there were even more, and just like his they were helping out around the bar, following people around in some cases, or simply sitting around looking too damn adorable to be legal.

"It definitely seems to be." Which was a whole other sort of thing, but it was good that Peter could see that some of the little guys were here in society, they were helping out and it didn't look like they were being forced to do any of it. "Um.... no, I don't think that's Spanish," He shook his head, "I think maybe that's.... one of these guys?" he pointed around them to the little creatures that were scattered around the bar. Maybe not any of these in particular, but like them?

Carol made a face at the snake-like creatures that seemed busy doing whatever they were doing there. Because of course there were snake-like creatures there. She didn't mention that she got creeped out by snakes, but instead found a spot away from the little guys to sit down, understanding Peter would come join next to her.

Behind the bar was a human (that was a relief), and Carol was looking over the very unfamiliar bottles. "Uh...what do you have that's alcoholic?"

The bartender raised an eyebrow and grinned. "Depends. What do you like?"

"Something strong. Make it a double." He nodded and waited for Peter before getting to work. And as he did, Carol was watching the television above the bar, two of the creatures- battling? Where they battling? She looked at Peter. "Is that what I think it is?"

It was kind of weird, even after having been through once Peter could see that and watching Carol put a bit of distance between herself and the little creatures that were moving through the bar well he got the impression that she was more than a little weirded out by it all. But a bar, and a human bartender put her a bit more at ease - it was much more familiar after all, even if they weren't sure what they were drinking.

"Make it two." Peter held up two fingers tacking his order on to Carol's for the sake of sanity and ease. Even one strong drink wouldn't be enough to do much harm after all.

While they waited for their drinks Peter followed Carol's gaze up to the screens seeing what now looked like a fight, so the list of numbers before must have been something like stats for one of the fighting animals and he frowned the more he looked at it.

"Uh, well." He tilted his head to the side looking a little bit longer then eyes going wide as there was a large shock of light as some sort of attack landed. "I think maybe it's exactly what you think it is." If by what she thought it was, she meant a fight between two of these little creatures for the amusement of those watching. And that was - well Peter didn't really know what to make of it, but he didn't really like it either.

The bartender returned with their drinks not long after he'd gone, "Hey can you tell us a little bit more about what this is?"

She wasn't surprised by the strange and unusual. Carol usually just went with it after her time in the universe, but maybe it was the fact it as mixed with an Earth-like setting that threw her off. Or she was just getting so used to the mundane (could you even call it mundane?) existence in Starklandia, that she wasn't quite ready for it.

Or maybe it was because they looked like snakes and she really didn't like snakes.

She wrinkled her nose a little as the poor creature was taken down, but probably wasn't ass put off by it as some others might be. It reminded her of those battle worlds where people bet on these things. At least they didn't look like they were literally killing each other.

The bartender looked confused before turning to stare at the screen. "You mean the Pokemon battle? it's just the seasonal champs. You know, that time of year and all." Carol frowned.

"Okay, just work with us- pretend we didn't know what pokemon were and explain." She took a sip of her drink and winced at how sweet it was. But at least it was strong. She drank as she listened to the man explain.

"Uh..sure. Basically, two teams or individuals train up their pokemon for a time then they battle them with other people's pokemon. In a championship game like this, the winner gets a prize. And people bet on 'em. That's my favorite part." He grinned and turned back to the TV. "Looks like the Pikachu's having a good go at it."

She watched the little yellow creature dancing around as she drank and smirked. "He'd be a good bouncer, you think?" She was addressing the question to Peter, already getting an idea.

That time of year, so they did it often. The explanation of it all was interesting though - putting it out there more like a partnership than the sort of dog fights that Peter had been picturing. But maybe it was sort of the same? He wasn't really sure, because his Bulbasaur seemed pretty self aware - you know for a weird little pet thing, so maybe they had a choice about it all.

Really it was all just a little different and confusing.

He glanced at the screen when the guy mentioned something called a Pikachu. "A bouncer?" Peter asked raising an eyebrow at Carol when she suggested it for something like a Pikachu, "He's a bit cute for that, don't you think?"

But then again - Peter's eyes went wide when he watched the little guy send out some sort of electrical attack as it continued in the battle. "Well, maybe he could handle it." He said before taking a drink.

Okay, so Carol was half-kidding about the Pikachu. She had been eying the much larger, bluer pokemon that the yellow one was battling. And then she saw the lightening and she raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed. Her trademark smirk crossed her features and she looked back at Peter.

"So I think I know which one I want at least. How do you find them?"

The bartender laughed and shook his head, leaning on the bartop. "Goodluck! Haven't seen those guys in the wild in a while."

"Can't be that tough, can it?" She shrugged and drank her liquor, eyes now stuck on the screen.

"They're attracted to electrical sources if that helps."

Bingo. Carol smiled. She had a plan.

Peter knew that look on Carol's face, the one that said she had an idea that she was going to run with whether or not it was strictly a good one. He huffed though when she voiced what he saw there - that she wanted the little electric one.

"But they are in the wild sometimes right?" He asked just to double check that they weren't on a fool's errand if they were going to go out searching for one.

"Oh yeah sure, they can be - just doesn't seem to be many of them around out there these days - everyone wants a pikachu, you know?" Peter laughed kind of lamely, like yes he did know - though he had absolutely no idea. They seemed a little zappy for his tastes, but he could see how they were kind of cute.

And then it became clear that Carol had an idea after he told them that they were attracted to electrical sources.

"Do I even want to know what you're plotting?" Peter asked her raising an eyebrow in her direction.

"Probably not." A simple, but true answer as she sipped her cocktail with that mischevious grin. The barkeep looked at her like she was crazy then moved away. Huh. He didn't ask for payment. Carol took note but said nothing since finding credits might be a bit hard around here.

Though she hated to admit she wanted the popular one, Carol was seriously attracted to the idea of something that could help them at the bar and survive Goose. Maybe. He didn't seem to like to get zapped (not that she ever did it on purpose!).

Finishing her drink and standing up suddenly, she nodded to him. "You coming?" Or she could come back for him when she was done. Not that she knew what she was doing.

Peter just groaned and finished off his drink in one go - if they were going to do something crazy to find Carol the pokemon she wanted, he wanted to have enough alcohol in his system that he wasn't going to mind too much. He trusted her of course, Carol was just generally a little bit more of a risk taker than Peter, so things were likely to get crazy.

While he was making his peace with himself, Carol seemed ready to go, so Peter got to his feet ready to go with her.

"Of course, you think I'm gonna let you go out there on your own? I feel like I promised to protect you." He reminded her with a cheesy grin, because well he had - even if they both could take care of themselves it was nice having someone around to watch your back sometimes.

"Lead the way, we'll see if we can't find you one of the yellow ones." Sure it was cute, but it wasn't as cute as his bulbasaur.

She laughed at his promise. It wasn't because she didn't appreciate the idea or think he could have her back in a time of crisis (it was cute), but she tried to explain before that she'd survived worse. And she was caught up in a very different scenario. Any other time, she'd have come out of it unscathed.

"Yeah, well as long as this place doesn't have something to drain my powers, I'll be fine. I think it's you that's going to need protection, Old Man." She smiled.

"Hang on. Do I just catch it? Grab it and bring it back or..?" She made a gesture like she was holding a ball and quirked an eyebrow. Yeah, she wasn't really sure how this was supposed to work.

"I'm just saying - which of us has been here before? And made it back safely in one piece? And got his own little pokemon in the process?" Peter shrugged, he was under no delusions that Carol was stronger than him, but still - the point remained.

He wrinkled his nose when she called him old, making a face. The name didn't really bother him, but he could hardly let it pass without reacting to it at all, could he?

"Uh - well." He paused when she asked about how she'd go about getting the pikachu if they found one. "Well I mean.... Bulbasaur picked me? Maybe the pikachus work like that too? We could find some berries for you to offer it like I did?" Though he supposed there had to be some other way to go about it, considering people around here had them and seemed to think getting them was fairly normal.

"We should probably get you a pokeball though, that'd probably help even if it doesn't help you catch it." It was all just a little bit confusing really.

Carol rolled her eyes, even if he was right about that one. "Fine. You lead the wise, old wise and experienced Pokemon hunter." She was just teasing, of course, but did gesture for him to take the lead.

Oh yeah, she knew the old man comment got under his skin a bit. But she was just waiting for him to double down on her, considering she was technically older than most of the people in their new home. It just made her feel better to pretend that wasn't the case. Maybe it was a female thing.

"Berries? That's what they eat?" She made a face, then frowned. "Wait, how you feel your guy?"

The balls. Yes! That was what she was referring to. "Do they like, follow it or something? Like a leash?"

Peter grinned hugely when Carol conceded that he was right about at least that much - it was a small victory but well Peter was happy to take it even if that was as far as he made it.

"That's the first thing we've gotta work on," Peter said with a laugh as Carol allowed him the lead. "We don't hunt them - they're not like.... deer?" He said fumbling for a comparison, they were much more like - well honestly Peter didn't have a good comparison for what they really were like, but they weren't just out there waiting for someone to come along and catch them. At least that's what Peter assumed, maybe they really were.

"Well I mean," Peter rubbed a hand against the back of his neck as he shrugged. "So okay, Clint and I were walking through the woods together, like an enchanted forest kind of woods, and then the little guy just kind of wandered into our path and he was trying to get berries, so I helped him get a couple he couldn't reach and then he just kind of started following me around."

"I don't think they follow it - I mean bulbasaur started just following me before I ever got one. It's kind of like a home for them? Like a dog house," He said seeking another not quite right comparison.

Carol rolled her eyes. "I didn't mean like that- I just meant..." Okay, she wasn't sure what she meant. She probably did mean it like that, sort of. "But it's not forced, right? I mean, I don't really wanna force something to come back home."

When Peter described it, Carol nodded. "I used to have a dog like that- well, have isn't the right word." She looked a bit sad and shrugged. "He'd follow me home from school."

Another raised eyebrow. "A dog house? A tiny dog house?" She stared like he was crazy then shook her head. "They don't get uncomfortable in there? How would the big ones even fit??"

"Oh," Peter said eyes widening just a bit and he shook his head, "No, no it's not like that - at least it wasn't when I did it. I worried about that too actually." He admitted, but Bulbasaur had been all too eager to follow him around so it seemed mean to just abandon it after it had sort of imprinted on him.

When she told him about the dog she'd used to know he couldn't help but grin and nod, "Yeah it was a lot like that, I don't think anyone is forcing them to come back with us, at least I haven't heard about anyone doing that - they seem to like bonding with people."

Peter held out his hands helplessly in a shrug, "I don't know what to tell you - it's some sort of tech they've developed here that lets them fit inside, as far as I know they aren't uncomfortable in there, it just makes it easier to travel around with them, and from what I saw there are some people who collect lots of them so if you have the balls you can carry more of them pretty easily." The hows of it all were a bit outside of Peter's realm of expertise, at least for the time being - if he got another pokeball he might be able to poke at it and maybe figure something out, but right now he just worked with what he'd been told by the locals.

"Okay, good." She had resolved that it wasn't that bad of an idea if she looked for something more willing. So maybe not the yellow one after all. Sure, she'd be a little disappointed (even if she would desperately try to hide that), but it was probably better to have a willing pet buddy than an unwilling one.

The ball situation didn't seem alright to Carol, but she figured Peter wasn't exactly the kind of guy that would ever harm another living thing if he could help it. Well, not animals. So she trusted him with a sigh and a nod. "Where do we start? This place anywhere near where you guys were last time?"

Of course, the ball thing could come before or later now that she understood how they worked. She was distracted for a moment by a two-headed bird following a little boy who couldn't be more than ten, then quickly turned back towards him. Even the kids at this place? Sheesh.

Peter nodded, on that matter at least they were of one mind. Peter hadn't wanted to just take his new little friend if he hadn't been willing, or even if he had some sort of family to go back to - but after a bit more exploration with Clint he felt pretty sure that bringing Bulbasaur back with him had been the right move. And Bulbasaur seemed pretty happy about it all too.

"Uh," Peter glanced around there was much more beach here than where he'd been so he thought maybe they were in a different part of this world, "Nope I don't think this is the same place, but I mean - we can just look around a bit and see what we find. These guys seem to just kind of roam wherever they like." And maybe they'd get lucky and find that little yellow one that Carol seemed so keen on.

"Maybe we'll start toward the edge of all of this?" He suggested, getting away from the more civilized parts of this area seemed like a good idea, they seemed like they were more likely to be kind of out in nature.

Who was she to argue? Carol could only nod in agreement and followed Peter as the lead, actually really enjoying the walkabout, even if it was just watching these strange little creatures as they did so. Carol wouldn't easily admit it, but she was a fan of cute things. That's a big reason she liked having Goose around. But, really, who wasn't?

Lucky for them, the resort wasn't quite that big and somewhat isolated from the larger cities, and soon they found themselves in a grassy setting, though there wasn't any sign of pokemon or anything else nearby. Carol stopped walking in the middle of a field and looked around, the hotel in the distance.

There was movement in the grass nearby as a strange mouse creature ran by and Carol looked back at Peter. "So...think this might be a good spot?" She didn't elaborate, though she was glowing just a little.

Peter was relieved to find that there was actually some real nature to be found not far beyond the bounds of the resort, part of him had been worried they'd just wander their way further into the city and not find anything for Carol - which would be really sad.

But they'd had some luck finding themselves out in a sort of field of sorts out a ways from the hotel and sort of just wandering around on the off chance that maybe they'd find something? Honestly, Peter might have pretended like he knew what he was doing, but it was all mostly just teasing Carol - he didn't have the slightest clue what they should be doing.

And just like that there was a wierd little sort of mouse thing - not an actual mouse, the same way that Bulbasaur was not an actual dinosaur... or lizard, or plant, he was his own sort of thing. And that little mouse seemed to be the same way - so that seemed like they were in a pretty good spot. When he caught sight of the glowing though Peter's eyes went wide, "Uh, I mean - I guess it depends on what you're gonna do." He said, "But I think we've got a better chance of finding something out here than we did back there."

"Just look, I guess?" Though she was amused by the slightly wide eyes as he saw her hand glow, laughing a little and explaining. "The guy said he's drawn to electricity, right? I figured I could give this a try. Then again, it's not exactly electrical..."

Carol was probably just winging it- when wasn't she, though? "C'mon." She started walking, looking around, seeing a rustling here and there, but no sign of anything significant.

And after spotting a few more of the mouse-things over the course of about half an hour, she stopped and turned around. "Okay. I am now going to admit it. This feels kind of ridiculous." She sighed, shutting off the photon works and nodding.

"Maybe we should just go back, take advantage of the hot girls on the beach and have a few drinks, huh?"

"If only we had Thor with us," Peter said with a sigh as Carol kind of explained her thinking about the hand and trying to lure the little yellow guy to her with something like that. But really it was as good an idea as anything else they might have tried considering the circumstances.

But even with the glowing hand none of the little guys seemed to be interested, and while Peter looked with her he realized maybe it wasn't actually going to work - it'd have been nice if things were as simple as that, but it seemed not to be.

"I mean we could," He agreed if that was what she wanted, "Nothing wrong with that, we can keep looking around though if you want - I mean it's not like we've got anything important waiting for us back home." He reminded her, they had plenty of time to keep looking or like she said take advantage of the beach and drinks and just have a nice time that way too.

Who knew, maybe those little guys liked hot girls and drinks too?

Carol shrugged and started walking in the direction of the hotel. Was it disappointing? A little. But the more she thought about it, the less and less appealing it sounded. Sure, they were cute, but Goose was already a handful. And...he'd probably eat anything else she'd brought back to the bar. They were lucky the flerken hadn't eaten Peter's, actually.

Though, with his comment, she smirked and looked at him like he'd grown a second head. Which...wouldn't be that unusual around here. Well, where they came from, anyway. "Uh...are you saying Pancho's is not important? I think many would argue it's the most important part of our little community."

Of course, Carol wasn't paying any attention to the rustling int he grass behind them that had started following them back.

Peter laughed at that look she gave him before asking if he thought Pancho's wasn't important. "I didn't say it wasn't important." He said holding up both of his hands in a kind of surrender as he laughed. "We are very important, I mean where would people get their pizza without us? Where would they celebrate? Where would we drink without Pancho's?" He shook his head, no their little bar had in a way become a sort of heart of the town, it was a good gathering place and Peter was glad they could do something like that for everyone.

Of course while Carol was poking at him, as she tended to do Peter did hear something, thanks to his spider-senses. "Uh," He stopped walking and looked behind them.

"Don't freak out, but I think maybe we attracted something with your little display back there?" He told her, looking around trying to see into the grass where he thought he'd heard something, it probably wouldn't be anything too terrible, most of the things here seemed nice enough for the most part, but you never could be too sure. But with Carol with him Peter wasn't too worried.

Carol knew he would counter because they both felt the same way about their little place. Still, it was fun poking the bear a little, especially with poor Peter. Though when he stopped, she was surprised at first. She had a sixth sense when it came to danger, but didn't feel anything off about their surroundings as he insisted.

Then she heard it, too. A rustling just a few feet away. She tensed some, glancing at Peter, then at the grass expecting another mouse. Then a little yellow body emerged, charged with energy. "Pika." And Carol grinned. Ha! It had worked. Sort of.

Until she realized she had no idea what to do after this and quietly looked at Peter. "Okay....um...now what?" Her voice was quiet, afraid she might scare the thing off.

It definitely wasn't another of the little mouse things, he couldn't believe it when one of those little yellow guys came out of the tall grass, clearly Carol's plan had actually worked. "Oh my god," Peter was stunned if he was being honest. He waved to the little guy as Carol grinned.

Of course he had no idea what came next either if he was being honest, "Well this was the point where I offered Bulbasaur some berries." He told her and shrugged. "Maybe introduce yourself?" He suggested rather unhelpfully.

"Like.... make sure he knows he doesn't have to be intimidated by you? Maybe try the hand thing again, let him check that out?" He offered her a couple of options since this didn't look like it was quite as fairy tale as his experience had been.

Berries? She looked at Peter with a confused expression before squatting down and trying to be less intimidating. Which was....hard. At least for her. But she took his advise and raised a hand, turning on the glow just a little and watching the creature staring back at her with wide eyes. "Hey little guy... Kinda wish I had those berries now." She muttered.

Of course, what she didn't expect was for the creature to start glowing back- well, crackling back. Electricity was definitely coming off its little body and Carol looked at Peter. "Uh....should we be scared?"

But it didn't fire. Thank god. It came closer, right up fo where Carol could finally touch it and she hesitated before reaching out to pet its fur- shit. She felt the creature's energy surging through it- like the kind that could probably kill someone who wasn't like her. Lucky for them all, her body practically fed off energy like this. And apparently, so did Pikachu, since he didn't seem to mind. "Pika, pika!"

"Hey little guy....this is really cool." She was grinning like a little kid with a new puppy, looking back at Peter then wondering out loud. "Wish we had this little guy when we still needed power, huh?"

Yeah the berries would have been a good idea, but that wasn't really an option at the moment so really it just came down to whether or not Carol could appeal to the little guy on her own. Peter stood back the way Clint had when they'd first met Bulbasaur and watched the interaction as she turned on her glowing hand and then the little guy seemed to mimic it by glowing too.

His spider-senses weren't totally sure what to make of the situation but he felt like they were probably okay, and he couldn't help but grin watching as the little guy came closer and then watched as she pet it. "Oh man," Peter said with wide eyes grinning at the way they seemed to be in sync.

"Yeah," He agreed with a laugh, "Yeah this is really cool." And he wondered if he'd looked like that with Bulbasaur or if his delight had been a little more hidden. But knowing himself, he definitely looked like an even bigger goof as he pet Bulbasaur for the first time.

"Oh man, can you even imagine, that would have been awesome." He laughed, "So what do you think? is he gonna come back with us?"

Carol was aware she probably looked like a total dork staring at the little guy, but she couldn't help herself. All thoughts of drinks and beautiful women were gone as she crouched there, petting the little guy. Probably not a good idea yet. "I don't know. Maybe?" She didn't want to scare him. Now that he was here, there was definitely the risk of scaring the little guy off.

"Whatcha think? You wanna come with us?" The little creature cooed and Carol looked at Peter before standing up. She almost picked him up but didn't want to necessarily scare him away. There was some hesitancy and she took a step back. Pikachu followed and she looked at Peter before she turned to start walking.

Sure enough, the little guy was following. Carol looked over her shoulder, now smiling that her instinct actually resulted in something. "Kinda reminds me of how I found Goose."

Peter nodded, yeah that was the way to do it - just talk at them like they knew what the humans were saying and maybe it'd all work out. Peter had done it too of course so he was absolutely not bashing the idea. He watched as Carol spoke to it, asking the little guy if he wanted to come back with them and then it actually made a noise that could be agreement. "Okay, that is adorable."

And as they started walking he glanced back to see the little guy following them, amazing, truly. "You found him just like this?" Peter asked doubtfully. He was sure that wasn't exactly what she meant but he could tease a little bit too.

"So I guess our next move should be getting you one of the pokeballs and then we can see where we go from there." Peter suggested, if the little guy was ready to come back with them Peter had a feeling he wouldn't mind the balls either, and it'd make it easier for Carol in the long run to have one too.

"Uh....not exactly" She glanced over her shoulder as the little guy followed along, still grinning a little too much. Okay, this was pretty awesome. She definitely hadn't had this reaction to Goose. "Less intentional. Fury and I were scoping out a military base and he just started following along. He used to belong to a friend." Then her smile turned sad and she shrugged.

"I couldn't shake him after that. Not even if I wanted to. Little guy even snuck on a plane with us."

Pokeball. Right. She looked over at Pikachu who was having a helluva time stumbling after them in the grass. Against her better judgment, she stopped and picked him up, scooping the little creature into her arms and carrying him with ease. He seemed to like it and Carol looked at Peter. "How do you even get a ball?"

Yeah this was going nearly the exact same way that things had gone with Bulbasaur. Peter couldn't help but grin as Carol told him a little bit more about how Goose had come into her life, attaching himself to her regardless of whether or not she wanted it. Goose was sort of part of the scenery these days at Pancho's, enough that Peter didn't really see some sort of weird alien or whatever he was supposed to be - he was just a really chill cat. Sure he gave him his space, but he still just looked like a cat wandering around the place.

"Sounds like you have a way with animals." He teased.

Yeah Carol with her arms full of the little Pikachu was pretty adorable too, Peter wished he could sneak a picture of this. "Uh, luck?" He supplied and shrugged, "I mean I think they have them pretty readily available back in town, maybe we can find someone who has some we can use." They just needed the one after all - Peter already had one and Carol would just need one. So it didn't seem like a huge ask.

Carol rolled her eyes at the comment about being good with animals. "I don't think so. I think I attract them, but that's not the same as being good with something. It's the same thing with kids." She was smirking, though, thinking back to when Monica was a baby. "They just sort of follow me."

"Uh..yeah. I mean, maybe we can trade for it?" Not that she had anything on her person to trade. She looked over at Peter and raised an eyebrow. "How did you get yours, again?"

The little guy didn't seem to mind being carried, and Carol scratched behind its ears as they walked. No one seemed to even notice the two approaching the hotel again, though a few did raise an eyebrow at the sight of someone carrying their pokemon- even if it wasn't completely unheard of.

"Uh I think that's exactly what that means," Peter said with a smirk of his own - just because Carol didn't necessarily think she was good with animals, or even kids, Peter could see with his own eyes that both Goose and now this little Pikachu were all about her, and that was all the proof he needed at the moment to just go right on assuming he was correct.

He shrugged, "Maybe a trade," Though what exactly they'd trade he wasn't sure, "We found a guy, he just gave us one." Peter admitted, "I think he saw we didn't really know what we were doing and took pity on us." Maybe they could pull that off again with this little guy.

By they looks they were getting now they were definitely garnering a little bit of attention, maybe it the way Carol was holding the little guy, but he seemed to like it- and Carol was definitely smitten, so you know Peter wasn't about to stop her. "Maybe we should ask that bartender where we could get one? He seemed pretty helpful earlier." And maybe he'd be impressed enough that Carol had actually found a Pikachu when he'd said there weren't many that he'd just give them one of those balls.

She rolled her eyes and gave Peter a sideways look, but didn't argue. Maybe because he might have had a point, even if she'd deny it anytime it came up. Carol Danvers never saw herself that way- she definitely wasn't the mom type. Was she? No, definitely wasn't going to even think about that.

"Trade what?" Carol made a face but thought about it. "I mean, I can trade you. Think he'd accept that?" She was joking. Sort of. But the bartender was a good idea, at least. She didn't even notice the others looking, because why would it matter? She was happy with how the day was turning out, even if she wasn't going to find some hot girl on the beach.
