"It definitely makes sense," Natasha told her, smiling at the idea. It made a lot of sense, that it was a good way to work out aggression while at the same time, having to keep yourself centered, steady. To be dependable. "Sounds like the exact sort of hobby that anybody who's thinking of dabbling in superheroics should consider picking up. Better than any of mine, by a longshot. I watched a lot of trashy reality shows or read a lot of really boring nonfiction." Both of them worked when she'd needed ways to turn her brain off; that was another thing that came long with superheroics, she supposed. Sometimes you needed your brain to shut shut the hell up for awhile and give you a little bit of a break.
"I do definitely want to hear you play sometime, though," she said, because she meant it. Hobby vs lifeline or not, it was important to Gwen, so it was important to her. She turned to Gwen to ask her a question about the kind of songs she played, whether it was mostly covers or originals or a mix, when she noticed they'd attracted a little visitor.
She looked sort of like a fox but with a bigger, fluffier tail, curling out behind her - almost like they were five tails, all nestled together, in various shades of orange and brown. And she was shivering, a little bit, as she tagged along after them curiously. Natasha smiled - she couldn't help it. "Hey," she said, nudging Gwen. "I think we might have made a friend."
