Gwen really didn't know a lot about battling when it came to Pokemon. She knew that some had weaknesses and strengths against certain types, but she wouldn't know what to tell her pokemon to do in a battle. She just kind of had to hope Sandy West would know what she needed to do if they were faced with the prospect of actually having to battle with one. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that. Gwen just wanted to walk around in the snow with Natasha and spend some time with her.
Natasha was someone she wanted to learn more about, but not necessarily by prying into her past or asking her questions she might not be comfortable with. Gwen just wanted to get to know her as she was now, because she seemed really cool and someone she could look up to.
"Yeah, let's go," she said, with a little smile. She pat her leg and Sandy West moved along by her feet, leaving tiny foot prints in the snow. "Oh, I picked her because Sandy was a drummer, and I'm a drummer. First thing that came to mind. She seemed to like it when I asked if I could call her that."
