Mara wasn't looking forward to this conversation but she knew that it would have to happen. Skywalker was the type of person who would ask endless questions about things if he wanted to know something. Usually, the curiosity was a good thing but now, she wasn't so sure. so she sucked it up and asked for him to meet her at the bar. She hoped he was still open enough to understand that she had no choice in the matter. It would be interesting to see how it would go.

Ending up at the bar, she ordered a glass of wine and waited for him to arrive. She had considered asking him if he wanted to train her in the ways of the Force but given he came from so long before she thought it best to ask Kenobi. While not at the skill level of Skywalker, he was still an excellent Jedi.

Luke had no idea what Mara could possibly want to talk to him about. Ever since she'd arrived, he'd felt something from her but he couldn't put a finger on what it was. She was Force sensitive beyond the shadow of a doubt but how did she know him? It was true that he wasn't fully trained and he could be missing something but he was sure that if he had met her before, he would have remembered. The logical explanation was that she was from his future but there seemed to be more to it than that from what she had said.

He entered the bar and spotted her immediately. Walking over to the table he sat down and smiled at her. "Hey, so what's up?" Reaching out with the Force he could tell that she seemed anxious and he was curious as to what could have possibly triggered that.

He looked so young. That was the first thing that came to mind. She'd seen him at that age before, at Jabba's Palace but it had been quite some time since then. Still, he was very much the same person that she had spent time with and fought beside recently. She just hoped he was as willing to listen to her as his future self.

Taking a sip of her drink she turned to him. "You know I am from your future correct?" just getting that out of the way.

Luke nodded. "Yes, I do. I'm not sure how far though. For me we just fought the battle of Endor so it's a few months past that. The Emperor is dead but the Empire hasn't given up yet and there are still some battles going on." He was pretty sure that he was going to end up being sent to one of them before too long but instead here he was. Maybe the other version of himself was going.

"I know that I would have remembered you if we had met," he went on. "but I can sense that you're a Force user and there aren't that many left in my time. People who are tend to keep themselves hidden since it's still dangerous." Luke was sure there were others out there and he hoped to find them because he dreamed of starting a training academy for Jedi, hopefully rebuilding the order.

Mara nodded. That made sense and it pinpointed his point in time more so than she had worked out before. "No, we hadn't met at that point. At least not officially," she said thinking of her time in Jabba's Palace. "I'd seen you but that was the extent of that. I am a force user though I admit I'm not fully trained. I was going to approach Master Kenobi about receiving more training," she admitted.

Taking a deep breathe, she turned to him. "At a young age, I don't know how young, I don't even remember my birth parents, I was taken by the Empire and trained by the Emperor. I was never a Sith but I was essentially a spy and assassin for the Emperor."

So the rumors were true. Luke had heard that the Empire sought out Force sensitive children and took them in, hoping to train them as Sith or at the ver least some kind of soldiers. He had been surprised to discover his own sensibilty and after reading Ben's journals and things he had learned from his own experience, he'd always thought that there were more people out there who could be trained but were afraid to reach out and who would they reach out ot anyway?

"We heard that the Emperor had his own group of assassins," Luke said. "no one that I know ever meat one of them or if they did, they didn't come back. So you've had some training, was it by the emperor or someone else?" He probably should be more disturbed by her statement than he was but he could sense that she meant him no harm and he curious more than anything.

Mara shook her head at that. "I was his Hand, I was the only one," she explained not even realising that there were others like her, all their identities kept secret from each other each one believing they were the only Hand. "I was trained by the Emperor but never that well. I know the basics of the Force but there is much I'm unaware of. I have used it to notice more things, to become more observant as well as to increase my reflexes and reaction times as well as to tell if people are lying but that is probably the extent of what he taught me. He didn't want me to become too powerful," she admitted.

"I was his secret weapon. It didn't matter where I was in the Galaxy he could instruct me through the Force to undertake various missions. Up to the the very last moment he was doing so." She wondered if he would pick up on what she wasn't saying.

Luke found himself wondering if she was related to the Emperor in some way but she didn't seem to be. From what he could sense, she was being honest with him and not hiding anything so she would have told him if that were the case. Her words took a moment to sink it and then Luke looked at her in surprise.

"You were looking for me, weren't you? That's how you knew me and I don't know you." It didn't take much to guess what she'd been planning to do when she found him. "I hope you aren't planning on actually carrying that mission out since I'd really rather not die yet and not in this place." He was pretty sure that if she'd wanted to kill him, she already would have, it wouldn't be hard.

Mara was glad that he had figured out what her mission was. She nodded silently, taking a sip of her drink. "I was and yes you were right that I was tasked to kill you. Good and bad news. I'm from your future and I did kill you it was a clone version of you but it turned off his message to kill you. Not sure how it worked but it worked and that's the main thing. You helped me kill your clone actually," she admitted. "We'd been working together on and off by then."

"A clone?" Luke couldn't imagine how he had been cloned since he thought all the cloning operations had been destroyed. Obviously not because he could sense no deceit on Mara's part. She was telling the truth.

"I'm glad it worked then. I'd hate to think that I died so young." Although if he had died in the war, at least that would have been for the good of the Rebellion. "so this has to be strange for you, seeing me here." It was certainly strange for him, that was for sure.

"Grown in Thrawn's cloning chambers on Wayland. Was called Luuke of all things," she said with a snort. It was grown from the hand you lost at Bespin," she explained after a moment hoping it would make sense to him. "They somehow saved that and your old lightsbaer. I actually have that, you just gave it to me," she admitted. It wasn't on her, she thought it best not to bring it with her to this meeting. She still wasn't quite used to owning and using one.
