They were all kind of disastrous from what he gathered when it came to personal relationships. Each for a different reason, in a different way, but still a mess in the grand scheme of things. And maybe that was why they were able to work with each other. They all had issues and they knew how to be there for each other even if they didn't always know what to do or say. They were still there, they never gave up, and they made it clear that they never would. Bucky didn't want to ever lose that. He didn't want to do anything to mess it all up with either of them. Clint was -- well, he was fantastic and Natasha was someone he'd been willing to die for to love.
It was best not to think about time running out. Bucky knew that, but it was hard not to sometimes. Sometimes he just got too far into his own head, but he knew that both she and Clint understood that, and they didn't fault him for it or think less of him. They were just there; and that meant the world.
"I'm falling in love with him," he admitted openly to her. "The more I'm with him, the more it makes sense." It was so good to be able to say that to her and her understand, not feel jealous, but openly celebrate it with him. He knew she loved Clint already, and that was amazing to him, too. "It's crazy, that this all works for us. But at the same time, it doesn't feel crazy at all. It's as normal as breathing."
