"My hope is that I'm leaving the world better than the way I found it." She explained, it was personal in a way, more that she didn't share what she did with people, well not many at least - sometimes people found out, but she tried her best to keep others out of it as much as she could. "I hope that when I stop doing what I do - it'll be because it's finished. So no one will need to pick up my mantle when it's all said and done - if I thought I was just going to be replaced by someone else who had to do the same thing as me after I was gone - I don't think I could stand it. I want to have a lasting impact, not one that's just going to be a small footnote in history when it's all said and done." She didn't want to be some cog in a larger machine - what they were doing was important and it mattered, not because they were going to have others doing what they did, but because of the impact they made themselves while they were there.
"I hope we're all individual enough that we couldn't just be replaced when the time comes to quit what we're doing." But his world was so different, maybe that was the thing that made it that way - people were simply parts of systems they had no control over.
At least for now they could focus on this, the amazing island they found themselves on, the possibility of new and amazing things to find here. "Yes," She agreed with just a little bit of awe in her voice as she looked out over it all, the different pokemon, this really was a good place to find something if that had been his goal. "Wow."
