Barbara was not in a great mood, something about this guy rubbed her the wrong way and that he'd known even a hint of what she'd been going through recently bothered her even more than she wanted to let on. So when he blew her off she decided not to push it, she didn't want to know what else he might have to say or what else he might know.
Rolling her eyes as the weapon was pulled from her hands, not by him reaching over to take it, but by some unseen force Barbara sighed. "Yes, I know." She said with a sigh, "What kind of weapon?" It wasn't like anything she'd seen, and considering she worked with Bruce she'd seen plenty of different kinds of weapons - and this one was outside of her experience entirely.
Frowning when he mentioned his purpose, to serve a master that sounded - well a little barbaric if she was being honest. "Are you -" She paused for a moment, "Does your master own you?" She asked after a moment considering it. The way he talked about assisting didn't necessarily ring of slavery, but she knew that people could be complicit in their own captivity without even realizing it.
"I had a purpose." She said with a sigh, because as much as she didn't like to admit it, she didn't have a real purpose here. Sure she was helping with the library, but that was more to give her something to pass the hours, it wasn't something that drove her. She had a purpose, a real one that she needed to get back to, but she couldn't as long as she was trapped here.
