Barbara's eyes widened when she followed his gaze to the giant creature further out in the distance. She tensed when he pulled out something from his belt not sure what it was, but really the sea creature was far more interesting than whatever he was holding. She watched as it rose up from the sea, twisting and writing before the sailor who had told them about the boat chimed in.
"Oh, no, we're not." Barbara agreed watching the Gyarado as he'd called it and frowning when he mentioned that it had evolved from something else, not the way people might say that humans evolved from apes, but something a little more immediate, since he seemed to imply that Magikarp were a thing around here still too.
And then her eyes went wide when her companion said that he was going to bring one back, "No you are not!" She said immediately, like she was in any way in charge of either the town or him. "Where would you even put something like that?" She scoffed, the town was a decent size but it was no where near enough for something like that, their small water source couldn't handle anything remotely that size.
